2. WINDOWS ROOTING GUIDE
*this guide will work on most android phones :D​



  1. Download THIS PROGRAM (VROOT)
  2. Install Program
  3. Enable USB Debugging in settings (TICK CHECK-BOX IN Settings>>>Developer options>>>USB debugging){Opciones de desarrollador USB ON}
  4. Plug your phone to PC using usb cable in "LG software" / "debug" mode
  5. If you are connecting your phone to your pc for the first time you need to install lg drivers from first autorun when phone plugged in ( If autorun disabled navigate to lg removable drive and run LGAutoRun.exe) follow on-screen instructions :) or download drivers from LG Official Website HERE
  6. Ensure all drivers have installed correctly (no yellow triangles in "Device Manager")
  7. Run VROOT As Administrator On PC
    program will connect to your phone and tell you your phone model and if phone is rooted (obviously our's is not)

  8. Click ROOT in right bottom corner
    program will install Chinese sync/managment app (you can remove app later) on your phone and install Kinguser superuser app on your phone (you can replace this with your favourite superuser app <i kept Kinguser and i'm happy>)

  9. Your phone will reboot when completed :)


3. BOOTLOADER UNLOCK
NOT YET :/


4. CUSTOM RECOVERY
LBL (Locked Bootloader) Recovery from LG L5 II Works

X. Just a Tip

IF someone is pissed off like me when you plug your phone to usb and have to click 3 times before phone connects


1. DIAL 3845#*440# or 445

2. UN-CHECK BOX IN: "Settings">>>"Auto run">>>"AutoRun Enable"

3. Reboot (not sure if necessary but i did)

NO MORE CHECKING FOR DRIVERS / SKIP EVERY-TIME YOU PLUG YOUR PHONE IN :D

This is gonna be a loooong post. Though, I was checking the VRoot part, and change the part of putting it in "LG Software" mode, to "Debug" mode. Only takes it if you are debugging, and have to do that with the phone disconnected from the pc, in Development options (sorry, I have it in spanish "Opciones de desarrollador")

Downloading! Also, the PorTool link isn't working again xD I think you deleted it by mistake :p

EDIT: Nope, and my WIFI doesn't work anymore xD I can't turn it on.
I don't see any changes nor displaying in the About section of the options. It just resets it to factory.

mysteryouse was succesfull maybe package corrupted
try the mirror that's the one he sent me
hmm wifi is common bug on the L5 II was it always ok before ?
if it was please upload your system backup maybe there is a way to fix on yours and L5 II

Let me back it up, and upload it ^^
EDIT 1: WIFI Worked weird. I could only connect to the wifi I set on the Setup at the start. If I tried to connect to another, like when going to the mall or at work, it would reset my phone.

When i ported the mod to the LG L4 i selected wipe system.WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T PRESS WIPE SYSTEM BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO WIPE THE LG SYSTEM.UI

Does anyone know how to extract the .kdz file for the L4? If anyone know pls tell me bcs i want to port something to the phone ( no spoilers ^_^ ) :)

Any development? My internet went down since this morning and couldn't start working until now xD

Question: Do any of you have a working base to work? Doesn't matter what change do I do, I still get (Status 0).

    i will try to help and overlook but please do not count on me to do all what's needed (i do not have your device or any other mtk device of my own so i'm blind in that field )

    there is no fastboot device i have more than one android phone here and drivers etc. are ok, infact I'm a Linux user... no fastboot device is found sorry, my other devices work... I tried to contact LG many times for help for BL unlocking, but no success so far...

    I'll keep on looking/searching/reading/testing. So that's it from me. ;)
