Great ROM - couple minor bugs

Hi OP / all!

Thanks for the ROM. I'd like to report (or confirm) a couple of issues I've experienced with the 20170420 version :(

  • Voice call volume stuck on max - attempts to turn volume down does nothing. It's really loud too - almost like its on speaker phone. Person on the other side of the call will always complain there is an echo (or feedback) and they can hear themselves talking.
  • Video playback broken - Tried to capture video using phone. Upon trying to playback video, it played the first few frames then froze. Used default video player as well as some 3rd party ones e.g. VLC. Also videos from other sources exhibit similar behaviour, where it plays the first few frames then freezes - e.g. Facebook, as well as 9GAG gifs. Note however, the captured file itself is fine, when transferred to PC via USB transfer, the captured video is perfect.

Note, I did a full clean wipe and ROM flash, not a dirty load. I had also wiped dalvik/cache etc etc.

Everything else is working beautifully - fast and responsive ROM, Bluetooth audio now works perfectly (on my old stock factory reset ROM, it frequently cut-out or buffered), and also loving the power-user level of customisation :D .

So I'm eagerly anticipating the next version which hopefully can address some of the above - unless anyone has any suggested temporary hotfixes or patches for the above two issues?

need help !!!

So i tested this Rom for a while it's smooth and fast
but it ain't flawless but u can daily drive it (good job developers)
so i didn't make a backup of my stock rom and i want to get it back but the charging port stopped working (charging the phone from the wireless charging pins using two wires) so can someone help me and upload an image that i can flash with twrp and get the stock rom back
thanks in advance !!!

Discontinuity of CosmicOS

Hello S5 cosmic users,
CosmicOS is going through rebase and they have decided to use base as CAF. This means it cant be built only for devices with SnapDragon SOCs and not any other like exynos etc.
So this ROM is officially being discontinued henceforth.
I would like to thank the devs @somadsul for using his trees and Madaan(@hunnymadaan) for fixing up audio issues and many other things. :)

Hi. Good day to everyone. I flashed this rom since I cant send/receive sms on cosmic 7.1.2. This version is so nice but I'm having problems with regards to my battery life. Can anyone help me with this? Any fix of some sorts? Already installed greenify and used kernel auditor to optimize things but to no avail.

I know this version is already discontinued but I really like this version so im asking anyone who use it if you have any fix for this?

Cosmic os sd card not recognized

Hi
My friend installed this rom on his phone but no matter what he does the device wont recognize the extra sd card
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Go to developer options in settings and turn on terminal
Then in terminal type the following
su (then press enter and grant root permission)
sm set-force-adoptable true
This rom development is stopped so better switch to resurrection or lineage
