After flashing CWM, could I go back to stock recovery (in case need to use the warranty...)? Or are there any ways that I can backup the stock first?

Thanks to the efforts of ilarrain, Koush now officially supports Galaxy Ace.

How to Install CWM 4.0.0.9?
  1. Download the .zip file below.
  2. Place the file in your sdcard
  3. Flash the zip through recovery.
  4. Reboot

I made this file using the zip made by ilarrain here.

So if there's someone to thank... not me. Give thanks to ilarrain. :)

I tested this in my own phone running XXKPH, tested this in CoderomNexusAce as well.

Works greatly on my stock KPH:)

Many thnx you guys!

i have successfuly flashed this update.zip via CWM v3.

My question would be

I have a ROM manager, why is it it keeps on prompting me to install a CWM recovery where in fact i already have CWM v4?
is the CWM v4 not integrated in ROM Manager?

how do we make this visible in ROM Manager?

Do you test it? This for Froyo or for Gingerbread? Or for both?

i'm don't know about stock gingerbreads, but there are some custom roms with a2sd support i.e. coderom

    Now i have a question...
if i flash with odin can i lose cwm?, how can i prevent it?, and if i lose cwm, and i install it again, my old backups are going to work with the new install?

yes you will lose cwm, you can reflash cwm and your back-up will still there and will work, it is saved in your sd clockworkmod folder.

I've tested it and worked. I'm using Gingerbread. Also, since I only changed the recovery.img from ilarrain's zip, this should work as well for froyo.

I tested the file for Gingerbread but for Froyo, not yet.

Edit: Will upload a picture of my phone using CWM 4.0.0.9 after doing the steps.

First try WIPE from Recovery, if that will not not help flash any multi-file ROM.
