My N7 slowed to a crawl around the time the 4.4 update dropped.
At the time I chalked it up to update issues or something with 4.4. After talking with many N7 owners, they are not seeing the severe lag I am.
I have tried reflashing the boot and system partitions with the factory images to eliminate any possible OS issues.
Tonight I hard reset and started from scratch per the recommendations I've read elsewhere.
Upon booting up after the wipe I can immediately tell the N7 is lagging. I installed AndroBench right off the bat:
Sequential Read: 2.85 MB/s
Sequential Write: 0.29 MB/s
Random Read: 0.23 MB/s, 61.12 IOPS
Random Write: 0.0 MB/s, 2.12 IOPS
Holy crap. Wow.... I've tried to run a trim via LagFix, but nothing has improved it.
At this point I believe my internal storage is dying a slow laggy ****ty death.
There is nothing I can do here, right? I'm pretty much dicked?
Such a shame. This thing used to be amazing, and now it is unusable. Do I just trash it (and never buy another Asus product again) or what?
