Panorama mode worked beautifully but HDR mode won't even me click on it which is fine don't really need it. Other than that and the known slowmo not working this is an amazing camera! Thanks for the apk!

Worked wonderfully on rooted galaxy nexus with liquid smooth 2.4 ROM and Franco kernel

Installed fine on my galaxy s4 but won't install on my RAZR HD. Wonder if it requires android 4.2

The moto x camera and the stock RAZR HD camera have the same package name. So you must freeze or delete the stock camera before you install the moto x camera. You may also have to place it in with the rest of your system apps.

So there is no work around if you are not rooted?

Tried that. It still didn't show up in the app drawer. I loaded cm 10.1 and it installed just fine. A bit buggy but it works. I think it requires android 4.2+ unless someone has success loading it onto a stock rom.

So do it, following this instruction:

    • Download these Files
    • Go to /system/app
    • rename motCamera.apk and motGallery2.apk to .bak, same with both .odex files
    • copy the downloaded files to /system/app
    • reboot

Now it should be in Drawer.

The Apps are Camera and Gallery(in English(I'm german and camera apps usually are named in German.) App-Picture is the same as the Googlecamera).

Thats it, u should be done.

Don't freeze anything or stuff. I didn't do it and it worked.

Maybe this instruction helps u ;)

froze it with titanium backup, renamed old one to .bak....put it in sys app, still no go on xt 925 rooted,UNLocked BL

    & set permissions & rebooted ..?

that's how it worked for me:

    • renamed original to .org (or .bak)
    • copied new file to /system/app
    • set permission 644 to the file
    • reboot

Yeah it's important to remember the odex file. It didn't work for me until I renamed that too.
