Does anyone have a working link to where I can download this? I have a HK edition that was on the newest update, I'm s-off'd thanks to sunshine, and would like to be able to change my splash screen.

Yes, these work regardless of hboot, as splash1.img is not within the hboot.img

I haven't gotten around to doing this yet. EVOuser do you have a zip you could post so I could grab and switch out the .img file. I can't remember if this will fix the red text on the splash screen. Can you confirm that it does or doesn't? Thanks again!
The Images should flash directly with Sprint M8 Flasher, <--that's a link.
If you want to use the method I prefer - Download this zip and replace the image with yours and rezip. Then flash. Stock Splash - Bootloader Flashable(0P6BIMG.ZIP)
A splash screen will not fix the red text.
That's within a modded hboot that supports that change.

How to flash .img - Place the .img you want in your adb/fastboot directory and use the commands below.
Code:[SIZE="2"]adb reboot bootloader fastboot flash splash1 splash.img fastboot reboot[/SIZE] [COLOR="Red"]Tip: change splash.img to the name of the file you are going to flash...example fastboot flash splash1 batman.img[/COLOR]

Shouldn't cause any problems.
Did you flash the Firewater hboot?
You could also try @EVOuser94's method he posted4
