but I'm going to try to build KA19 with Android 4.0.4 sources

I have installed KA18 over KA16 without data wiping. All is working fine so far. I have not yet tested Skype for green camera issue which was present in KA16. I have noticed that though I have downloaded and installed "KA18" zip file, after installation the version number is still "KA17"???

installation procedure KAxx

I'm anxious to try your KA19 with android 4.04 but i have a few questions about installing your ROM on Neo V. (I will root my device first.)
1. Do I actually need to flash when I am keeping the default kernel? Or is it enough to do 'factory reset' and 'Install zip from flashcard' ?
2. I understand that, to install a new ROM, the userdata must be wiped to get clean install and no conflicting settings. Later, when updating to a new KAxx, how can i preserve the userdata and installed apps as you state 'Go into recovery and do a clean install of my rom' in the installation instructions for existing KA users?

testing nw .. KA18 i believe .. i get really confused with all the updates ... Ok nw lets come to the issues ... Installations with the aroma installer sure looks promising ...there has to be a clear and detailed explanation's of the procedure to install i think ... Remember not all of us are smart as u ! My most important concern is the battery .. I am not quiet sure which kernel i am on .. i got it from the first post .. the Non OC one ... i think its a stock kernel (Would like to have a clarification) .. Can any one suggest how to improve the battery backup on ICS (I am really struggling here, i dnt play much games either ) Still lets test this rom with the stock kernel for a day and see how much battery it drains !

BTW where the f**** is the google search widget .. no voice controls work either ! .. hw can the Dev forget such an important app ?? ll post other glitches and good stuff(If there are any) about the rom soon here in EDIT ! Cheers .. looking forward to KA19(He he , sounds like the licence plate behind the bikes in Karnataka

Tested a few features here:
> While charging the battery icon doesn't show full icon (ny ways that's not so imp)
> Tried installing google search provider apk's, tried a few of them but get some FC's and errors while doing that !
> Couldn't find facelock in security
>Battery is draining and am trying different fixes ..

About the Rom
The rom seems to be quiet stable .. there sure needs more work to be done.. ll try to fix a few issues myself and keep others posted here!

Add the damn things on your own, man! Dont bloody expect everything to be done by the dev, if you need something, do it yourself.

Also, if you're going to compare an Iphone with a droid, take a droid that costs as much and not almost 2/5th of its price.

First of all Mr Disco Dancer tell me a rom that doesn't have a google search app in it ?? Come on this is basics mate ! I am just trying to help the dev by providing him with feed back about the rom ... So we can have atleast one f****** rom in this community that we can call completely stable ! If you are so bothered and annoyed by the posts then why don't you suggest something useful that would make the Rom look better ?

OMG everything you write is filled with tensions, BS or i don't know, sh*t. You can write whatever you want, but it feels like you could explode in every post.

THE best thing for you m8 is to take ur Neo, smash it in the wall, film it, watch it once again, then go to store and buy that damn IPhone! You will pretty much enjoy urself.

Hey I didn't want to offend you or anything like that, but there really is major tension in your posts, like you are desperate with your phone or something...
Just try different roms till you find the one you like, but just remember how many effort, work and will has to be for guys to make these roms. So, you can suggest or comment or whatever, just take it down a little. You swearing over google search is unbelievable....
Our device is awsome, with these guys at Xda.....no problem at all!

Try different rom on Iphone LLLOOOLLL, or just try mp3 as ringtone,

Enough said about this, try different rom to suite ur needs, but this one ROCKS!

No hard feelings here mate ! And sry for wat i posted earlier ! but Mr Disco Dancer got on my nerves .. had been testing this rom since morning and when u get on xda to post bug report all u get is flaming by other members cos u asked for something that is so basic in android ... not fair ..

and i ll keep looking and testing all other roms out there but not for me cos i believe in contributing to the community ! Thanks for ur advise anyways

would it be possible to make the volume buttons change the media volume instead of ringer volume all the time..

m not sure if it is problem for others

, but i think it would be better to be able to adjust the media volume with them..

When you are using media, playing song, video, game, then they control media volume.
When you are not using media, and phone is just phone, they control ringtone/notification volume.

What is point in controlling media volume, if you are not using it at the moment?

1. You have to Unlock bootloader, Root, Flash kernel which is suggested in the 1st post, then rom. It is always better to reset everything when getting to new rom, especially totally different version of android.
2. First time, factory reset, next update of Ka will not delete Data partition so ur data will be saved, if you have trouble, then you can try Resetting all and reinstalling.

yaa.. but it happens at times that m tryina to lower the volume before playin a media clip or games and it turns down the ringer volume..
in fact in some games it wont work if we pause the game n lowere the volume..

altho its not at all a big issue n i wudnt wanna argue over it..
if it can be done then it'll be awesome, or else my life will not become any more difficult.. hehehehe....
