i'm using miui v5 4.4.4 and think that is the best rom for note 2.... low ram usage and very fast in all functions... but the missing notifies and the use of android 4.1.2 penalize.... i'm waiting for miui v6 with 4.4 kitkat maybe with a few extra features on this rom samsung

There is issue whit theme manager language, the theme manager is in Chinese why?
Because miui is developed in China for Chinese. And it's common theme manager used in their own phone the mi3 mi3s etc which 95% of its users resides in China. Mi3 phone itself is ranked number 3 in the world in terms of total handsets sold or market share. Recently they opened up to new markets and is a threat to samsung and apple.

just go to Settings>Apps>Themes and Clear Data, this is a known bug for all MIUI ROMs, dev is looking into it

By far this is still the cleanest ROM I ever had. Even if the updates are delayed I'm still using it until now since 2012 seeing it evolved all through the years.

Backup with Nandroid, do a factory reset and install MIUI full ROM. Not recommend to use the latest CWM, I'm currently using Philz CWM 5

I used miui for a 6 months period at 4.1.2 . its great rom but it has to be upgrade to 4.4 with sammy features.after that I think miui is the best for n7100 again. :good:
MIUI has been unofficially been updated to 4.4 now. There are 2 ROMs available now, look at miuiandroid.com
Currently mobile data is not working so wait for the update next Friday (tomorrow).

I have international note2 n7100 running carbon rom 4.4.4 and my question is " can i downgrade to 4.1.2 to be able to flash miui rom that based on Android 4.1.2 ?! And if that possible how can I do it?!

External card not detected in 4.4.2
Installed 4.4.2 port of MIUI. Everything looks great except for external card not getting detected. It looks like the problem has a long history and I am not convinced to try any of the solution as they were all old. Can someone using the 4.4.2 Rom tell me how to make the external card recognized please.

u dont need downgrade to 4.1.2..just do a clean install..and install miui v5..
Are you sure??? I don't want to end up with a soft bricked device
I want to make sure that we talking about the same version of miui v5 (the official one)
I'll do it at night and let you know the results

Which version is more stable - Developer/Ported?
Am presently on AOSB 4.4.4 , to downgrade I just need to wipe and flash the MIUI ROM or do I need to install some specific recovery version first?

Instructions
- If you don't have, then flash CWM Recovery
- Go into CWM Recovery, do a factory reset, and in Mounts and Storage menu, chose Format /sdcard (this will wipe your apps, settings, data, pictures and everything. If you have an external sdcard, it will not be deleted. Just the internal from your phone memory.)
- Flash MIUI
- Start the ROM, after finishing the setup wizard
- reboot and go into CWM Recovery again, flash gapps 20121011
- Optional: Flash Perseus CWM Kernel to be safe from the brick-bug and SuddenDeadSyndrome (SDS Bug) READ HERE TO KNOW IF YOU NEED IT
- Reboot

Download the mtz file on your phone. Go to Themes App, swipe to the Local tab>Menu button>Import from SD card and choose the downloaded mtz file. Use Multiview/Multitasking?
You must be on your homescreen, not in an app. Press & hold your back button for 1 sec and the MultiView sidebar will appear on the left
Enable Smart stay?
Settings>Complete settings>Settings>Display>Smart stay
Enable Air View?
Settings>All settings>Settings>S Pen>Air view

Enable USB Mass Storage (UMS) for external SDCard
Description: Instead of using MTP Mode for accessing your phone with a computer, you can re-enable the better and faster UMS mode

Instructions:
Enable:
- Install the app
- unplug from USB cable, start app, grant root
- press UMS mode button
- Plug in USB cable to your Computer
- wait windows for installing the drivers
- windows should now be able to see your phone as an external drive, if not you have a driver installing issue or another problem
Correct removage, without damaging the sdcard:
- eject the drive in explorer/taskbar
- push "Mount card" in the app
- Remove the cable from your Phone

Well the basic begin and test is done. But i have to make it more beauty heh.. its ugly..
Probably will take a bit longer, i recently upgraded to win8 and have to re-setup all the AndroidSDK stuff.. even though my connection is blazing fast, there are tons of API's to download though.
Anyway, if you have other ideas which you would like to have in this App, tell me !!
