To everybody:

I would like to know:
- are you satisfied by the stock a2sd method/
- will you use old a2sd method?
- will you move dalvik-cache?
- do you use a custom kernel?

thx

I can't answer the first three, as I don't have many apps at all and don't know what dalvik-cache is or if I should move it, but i do use a custom kernel.

for me stock a2sd method works great, as long as I can move them to SD card I'm happy, I don't even know whats the difference is between stock and old? to me it seems old method is complicated, have to format and partition SD card and so on.. whats the difference? I have only used the stock froyo app2sd...

also move dalvik-cache thing I don't know what it does hehe..

yes I use custom kernel, 2.6.35 RC3 atm...

yes old app2sd method requieres some avanced things

difference is:
* stock app2sd (Google)
+ store apps on fat32 part of sdcard, in .android_secure I think
+ you keep them when wiping
- they don't show up by themself in app drawer

* old app2sd (from Cyanogen etc.)
+ store apps on ext3 part o sdcard
+ you keep them when wiping
+ they show up in app drawer

the scripts i'm wrting auto mount ext3 if present at boot
then if you want to activate old app2sd method, you just will have to format sdcard ONCE and activate app2sd ONCE

I personnaly use the latest .34 kernel from Kmobs: 41 at linpack and vey good battery life!
