Since there is currently no way to toggle the soft lights on/off/dim using the RezROM/Leeroids tweak on some sense 4 roms......I figured I would post this script that I found that forces the lights to dim @ boot.....
This is working on RezROM S4 2.1, but should work on any Rezound Sense 4 Rom.

**Installation:**
1)Nandroid backup (did I mention that I take no responsibility if your phone implodes, explodes, or you lose data due to this tweak?)
2)Download the attached zip and extract the script
3)Copy the 50dimleds script to /etc/init.d/ with Root Explorer or ES File Explorer (or push with adb).
3)Change permissions on the script to rwxr-xr-x using Root Explorer or your favorite program.
4)Reboot
Note: If you want to remove the tweak, just delete the script from /etc/init.d/ and reboot. The setting will be automatically reset to the default value.
* Note: this script may or may not work on other (Sense 4.0 or otherwise) ROMs, I take no responsibility if it doesn't, please backup first before trying

I tried searching, but I couldn't find anything that specifically answered my question. I'm using newtoroots sense4 rom and it's great, but has an issue when I receive pictures (it shuts off my data - i think it's sim related because it shows a notification (toast?) that it's preparing sim). It doesn't look like an issue on this rom, because my search didn't find it, but for all I know it's a sense 4 issue that everyone knows about and I'm just stupid.

No mms was patched on the Rom almost from the beginning
bored you mentioned something about finding a bug in 2.0. is that fixed or are you waiting on 2.1?

One issue I've been running into:
After wiping five times, I installed 2.1 twice (noticed random reboots), so I flashed it a second time. It still went into random reboots, even after battery pulls. Being S-Off, do I need to install a different firmware or something?

I loaded 2.1 last night and none of those things happened. Did you verify you had the latest 2.1, and check md5? Are you using Amon ra?
No reboots here either. Sounds like hes having a firmware issue.

Anyone having Exchange policy issues? I keep getting the notification to activate my servers policy which i accept and provide a required pin but it comes back a few minutes like i never did this and will not sync.

3.- Download RezROM from the link below. If you are S-ON, download RezROM_S4_S-ON_Kernel_Installer.zip as well.
- CHECK THE MD5 AFTER PLACING ON YOUR SDCARD. Windows user can download md5 checksum shell extension.
- Reboot your device into recovery mode.
- I recommend a wipe for this installation. A lot has changed.
- Install the ROM in recovery. S-OFF users simply reboot. S-ON USERS DO NOT REBOOT. Now flash S4 Kernel Installer zip which will reboot your to bootloader to finish the process.
- Enjoy and consider buying me a cup of coffee
How to upgrade your firmware:
1. Download the 3.11.605.22 Leaked RUU: LINK MD5 = 58b0f42defc689650ddd5128f195dc7d
2. Rename the RUU to "PH98IMG.zip"
3. Copy the renamed RUU to the root of your external SD Card.
4. Re-lock the bootloader.
- Open a DOS prompt and change directory to the folder where you have fastboot.exe
- Reboot to bootloader
- Type "fastboot oem lock" (No Quotes) while you are in bootloader (fastboot usb).
- The bootloader will begin to scan the PH98IMG.zip - This will take awhile
- When it asks if you want to update press volume up for yes.
- The update will make the first pass - This will take awhile as well
- The phone will reboot and sit on the white HTC screen - DO NOT freak out once again "this will take awhile"
- When it is done it will reboot back to fastboot mode.
- Make sure "Bootloader" is highlighted and then press the power button to run the second pass of the install - once again "this will take awhile " - watch the screen to verify ok next to each partition
- Once complete press the power button to reboot.
- Your device will now begin booting on the newly installed Leaked RUU
7. Proceed to http://htcdev.com/ to unlock the bootloader - Unlock keys do expire so you may need to request a new key.
8. Install the custom recovery of your choice.
9. Flash RezROM as instructed above.Reset your MainVer
