Text messages failing when using custom themes

Deleting Cache and resetting will help for a little while, but eventually will do it again. Text Messages sent without any custom themes are sent fine. Anyone have any ideas?

No, this is for a friend who was having trouble, stock rom, non-rooted. I did a search and didn't find anyone with the same issue, I thought maybe someone on here would know a work around... or anyone know of a good third party messaging app that allows to have individual themes for different people?
