Worked very well, the temproot did take the whole 10 minutes, but after that firewater S-OFF'd on the first bottle (was on Android 4.3). Thanks!

If you need detailed instructions it's all in the first post, follow either the rooted set if you have a rooted rom, or the temproot method if you haven't unlocked and rooted. Can someone please post a detailed instructions on what to do to push the file to the device and how to set permissions etc.? I cant S-off by the Rumrunner method and this is perhaps the only way I can S-off my device :/ Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Tried it over 10 times with no luck on T-Mobile DE 3.63.111.3. It didn't even succeeded with stock rooted 3.62.401.1.
There must be some fix on latest T-Mob DE firmware that prevents the exploit.
I want to try this on my at&t htc one x but i dont see any topic on my specific device.
There are many S-OFF threads for the Evita. Facepalm, Rumrunner, a few AIOs. I used an AIO for my original HOXL (can't remember which atm, though). The Universal Rumrunner works for that device, too. I just used it on my bro's HOXL.I'm new to this so i'm sorry for the question but what is irc? How do I go there?

Using a S-OFF method from the ONE forums might work, but I' definitely try to find something from the HOXL forums first.
Gotcha. I didn't realize you meant there was no firewater thread for the OneXL.Thanks, I didnt want to root thats why I wanted to try firewsater since there was a chance that it would work. But it didnt. For me at least! So I used facepalm and Im s-off. Thanks

Im trying to use this on an at&t htc one x, saw no thread regarding my device. Everything works fine at the beginnig, the temproot works fine. After that, the first bottle is opened and then comes the "chugging". After that, everything just stops. If anyone has an idea of what could be going wrong, please help! I've uploaded some screenshots for clearer explanation on my issue.
adb reboot (<--- important!!!!)
adb wait-for-device push firewater /data/local/tmp
adb shell
su
chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/firewater
/data/local/tmp/firewater

Wishful thinking...
However, the m7 is getting older by the minute so I doubt any new exploit is gonna be worked on. Unless of course as I said before some dev randomly stumbled upon it.
Sad but true.
