exactly
the program doesnt start at all
ahh. That makes more sense. txI too had a similar mistake (Error adding child script: 6!), but after correct uninstall REXX and cleaning of the register, now all is normal. OS Windows XP.
Thanks mestrini. Good work!
That probably happens because it's the old REXX interpreter version that is trying to run the script. Try to clean registry as telemix did or install WST old version and uninstall REXX via Control Panel
That shouldn't happen if the installation gave no errors as all the needed files are uncompressed upon installationFor the me the program starts but then i get this msg
"ERROR!!
Missing one or more critical files!
Maybe an instalation repair is required."

Uninstall and delete WST folder if it wasn't deleted from Program Files' folder. Then install again.
The way that I first fixed a similar report was to check the properties for the WST shortcut.Tried that multiple times and still have the same issue
very strange

If using the Start menu, mouse to "Wizard Service Tool" shortcut and right click, select properties and select the Shortcut tab if not already selected. Look at the text box with the title "Start in", if installed into the default location it should look like this "C:\Program Files\Wizard Service Tool", if there is another folder in the path e.g. "C:\Program Files\Wizard Service Tool\files" then that may be your problem.
Remove "\files" from the path, click OK and try again.
If using the desktop icon, right click and check as above.
When I read the original messages I misunderstood the purpose of WST. I got the idea that I'd be able to copy my current ROM as a backup before I started fiddling (loading WM6).
Having got WST to talk to my device I now find I was mistaken. There doesn't seem to be the option of capturing the whole ROM for use as a backup, so I'm no nearer (except I do have a neat way to interrogate my device now - that's cool!)
So, what do other people do about safeguarding their original setup - or at least making sure they will be able to reload an official ROM if necessary - before trying new ROMs?
Am I just being over-cautious? Does everyone just jump in without thinking about a safety net?
Has anyone tried this software in Vista? I did it but my Wizard was not being detected. Also, can I use this software with other Windows Mobile phones?

Hmmm. But is this software supposed to work with Windows Mobile Center or just Activesync?
