I was also able to install it with no issues as well. I still feel like there may be some left over data on you phone causing the conflict, but was not able to figure out where it may be because I didn't use the app , just installed then uninstalled after screen shots. I'll poke around some more and see what I can find.
Pushed from my EvOLTE using TapaTalk PRO.
I've used the fdroid app to install adaway. Again, each time I install these roms I'm wiping everything but my ext_sd card and no program data is being stored on it. I made a nandroid of chubz this time and flashed viper 4.0 for the 4th or 5th time and still can't install apks I have stored. I also found something else out. I can install from the app store, as mentioned above, but I cannot uninstall the app using the phone's menu->system->manage apps->(app name)->uninstall -- it'll crash with the same message. The only way I can install and uninstall stuff is via the playstore. I'm attaching alogcat report of 2 attempts at trying to install the same fdroid app as I posted above. Maybe this can be of some help. It's like the package installer is broken or something...
Yeah Vin, I noticed that later when I had a little more time to look at it. Hopefully it'll be available for Sprint by the time the black edition arrives. I'm not worried or anxious though, thanks to you I've got a brand new toy to keep me occupied.
I noticed it on the Swype keyboard, but they work on the Sense keyboard.

I posted the same question a few pages back. Swype wasn't even on mine natively, had to pull from ctb's rom. Didn't bother reflashing for something so small, but I think I checked the viper zip and it wasn't there anyway. I was just wondering if maybe there was another file I needed to pull over, if even just the graphics themselves. Not a big deal, though it does save me from sending an inappropriate smilie sometimes
Im using SwiftKey(Best).....So im guessing then its all 3rd party keyboards that emoticons do not work????

I think capt posted a fix on either the sense 5 rom or sense 5.5.
I don't have them either and I use SwiftKey.
Edit: briefly skimmed through the 1st page if each and I don't see it. However I do recall seeing Capt saying something about it. Just can't remember where

an interesting point. i just copied the swype.apk to /system and fixed permissions, never "installed" it... I wonder if that'd make any difference, wouldn't think so, but maybe

nope, at least not how i tried it. went to ES file explorer, mounted /system as r/w just for kicks, tapped the apk, told it to install. spun for a second then said that it hadn't installed. did nothing =o\

Mass, Running some tests & I noticed this also, I think this is what they are talking about. It's just plan jane Android emoji, where are the color ones?

They're in kitkat lol kitkat is first time colored "full emoji" support is built into Android from my understanding. Also, I don't think that's their issue, they have some screenshots of their text field having the text version of the emojis

They got rid of the color emoji as of Sense 5 4.3 and replaced it with standard Android emoji. They changed it again in KitKat. I actually prefer this as HTC's emoji got silly after a while. This gives some variety.
Are you sure about that? I did a search for "hTC Sense 5.5 keyboard" and got this.
If this is indeed true, then does anyone know how I can at least get something like what we had on Viper 3.1.7?

Viper4G Install Instructions
- IF YOU HAVEN'T UPDATED TO THE LATEST FIRMWARE/RECOVERY FOLLOW THE NEXT TWO LINES EXACTLY!
- Please Follow Directions in Capt's thread here. (I recommend using the "4.13.651.4 Firmware + TWRP Recovery" file.
- Download the the latest Viper4G full ROM zip
- Place the file somewhere on your phone storage. Alternatively, if you have a USB OTG cable (I have this exact one), you can place the rom on a USB key (FAT32, NTFS are all supported).
- Confirm the MD5 on the download page matches the MD5 of the file on your phone (ES File Explorer will show the MD5 of the file)
- Reboot to TWRP Recovery
- Backup current ROM if desired
- Install ROM using TWRP and select wipe during aroma install if coming from another base
- Reboot and Enjoy
If Aroma hangs up, reboot your recovery by holding power until phone resets...then before it begins booting up, hold volume down, load into recovery and try again.

Try long pressing the date in the notification bar (Pressing the date for about 2 seconds will toggle between HEQS, Quick Launch bar and "nothing")

To disable some of the tweaks, do the following:
- Disable HEQS (Horizontal Enhanced Quick Settings): Long press the date in the notification bar for about 2 seconds to toggle between modes until it's hidden
- Disable Weather: Tweaks - Status Bar - Weather - Hide
- Disable Header Text (cpu usage, etc.): Tweaks - Status Bar - Header - Information - Hide
- Disable VEQS (Vertical Enhanced Quick Settings): Tweaks - Status Bar - Vertical quick settings - Disable
6. I have a problem with the ROM (FC, Boot Loop, apps closing automatically). How can I get my problem resolved?
First things first. Try wiping data and replicating the issue:
- Rebooting into Recovery
- Perform a Nandroid backup (of just Data if you wish)
- Flash the ROM and select the option to "Wipe Data"
- Try replicating the issue
If the problem persists, capture a logcat and send it to me.
To capture a logcat, If you have fastboot setup, you already have the drivers installed and probably already have adb.exe in the same folder as fastboot.exe:
- Open the Command Prompt (run it as Administrator if UAC is enabled in Windows)
- run adb logcat >c:\logcat.txt
- To capture an FC, use the command adb shell "logcat | grep AndroidRuntime" >c:logcat.txt
- Press Control-C to stop logging
- Paste the contents of c:\logcat.txt into http://pastebin.com
- Post the link here with the problem being experienced

7. Whats the md5 sum thing?
It ensures, that the rom is downloaded correctly and completly to avoid weird issues when installing/using the rom. Google for "md5 sum checker" and you should find what you need.
8. I found a theme or mod, will it work on this rom?
It's NOT recommended to use mod/themes that dont clearly state, that they are compatible with our rom. Thems/Mods always use framework files which will brake mods/stuff in our rom.
9. My question is not listed here, what to do?
Ensure you used the xda search, google and your brain before asking a question in the thread. If you cant find an answer yourself we will answer your question for sure! (-:
10. My media (pictures, music, etc.) is not listed in the Gallery/HTC Music/etc.
Try rescanning your SDCARD by using an app such as Media Scanner
