Yes, it's just betterThanks for the explanation. So this basically makes the headphone sound louder while keeping it's crystal clear sound?
Sure, volume settings, both analog and digital (android media) are the same as in previous version. Is there a way to make it sound quieter like it did in version 1? I don't want to go deaf and sometimes, I find that even with the volume set to the lowest it's still too loud for my tastes. Well at default before I started using voodoo sound it was too loud. With voodoo sound version 1, I appreciated the feature where I can tune adjust the headphone amplifier, making it easier to choose my desired volume.
Also, what does 128X oversampling do? I have it checked because it's probably a good thing haha.
I'm using Sennheiser CX-300 headphones.
Btw you got a donation ^^
I have flashed voodoo 5.2 over 5.1 now iam getting an error when I go to recovery/advanced/clear dalvik cache
E:can't mount /dev/block/mmcbl1p2
(File exists)
But I still can clear dalvik cache.
Plz help me.

Here's a suggestion.
Can you collaborate with the devs for any of the music players to integrate your volume control in their software? Reason is, some music players have re-mapped the volume buttons to skip / shuffle tracks. And it might be possible to integrate your app with their code.
If your mod requires the app to be running, then integrating with a music app will probably be the best way to go. And it makes sense since most of us need to change analog volume only when listening to music.
So, the paid version of a music player can include support for the paid version of your volume control which we can then buy from the market and install. Win - win for both devs.
Like the idea?
Alright, I won't forget this one (iPhone IEM support, Call through headphones)
Supercurio!! Awesome work! thanks loads for doing all of this for us!
The voodoo sound app now means i can record videos + decent sound in a club! Tested it on saturday and worked a treat, no distortion what so ever!!
However i have a request, would be it possible to have a Microphone gain level similar to the Loud environment one, however WITHOUT the Dynamic Range control?
Just that it now sounds good in a club but you can still hear it adjusting the volume automatically a bit, if we have a profile without DRC then it should sound the correct volume instead of constantly trying to adjust itself.
Some sort of slider adjuster would be good for it so you can set it to the correct level without DRC for the environment your in.
Thanks again Supercurio!! excellent stuff!
Should i see this Activity in my Zeam launcher as "Action Bindings"? I cant see Vodoo-Volume Control there.
supercurio, I get noise/distortion on several UI actions like changing the screen brightness. Is this the jitter issue you're working on? Thank you for the amazing work, bought donate version.
my 1st video with voodoo 5.2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwE_ygLgB84
was sitting right beside the right bass speaker and the sound is still clean and un-distorted.
Hi Tube guy
Nah, this issue is the reported "crackling/pop" issue some people experience.
I have some ideas about how to fix it but didn't had the chance to test them yet.
Hi Supercurio, thanks for your work for SGS sound! I've been following the development and got the donate version yesterday, looking forward to further enhancements
Music sounds really good now, also from the radio with the corrected bass setting. Before this the radio sound was so bad I didn't even care to use it. Unfortunately I noticed that my radio has a disturbing background noise, sort of like a helicopter sound in the background. It is very easy to hear when there's a silent moment, and in speech.
I wonder if this is something that could be corrected with software, or is my device faulty?
There is a "Headphone Amplifier" dedicated launcher icon you can use for this purpose
Hardcore released K12Q-T7 with completely disabled logcat.
Try it. It's very smooth too and includes the latest Voodoo Sound Driver.

I think hardcore disabled klogd too! Please check with him!To my knowledge the issue is created by klogd (general Linux logging system) and not logcat (android specific)
But who knows, I'm listening to reports
That's a "dirty" way to solve it, there is a proper way....
http://developer.android.com/resour...ample/android/apis/app/LauncherShortcuts.html
Multiple app-icons is annoying.
Yes it's just temporary until it becomes a real widget too
BTW it cannot be so much dirty when it's something contained in 1-line of code (in the app manifest)
Hehe. I didn't mean it's dirty code, I mean it's a dirty solution. The launcher shortcut feature is there to avoid cluttering up the appdrawer with icons.
Besides, widget or no widget, the shortcut feature is still useful.
Those are new features, exciting capabilities your phone didn't had beforeHere is what I'm implementing for the first Voodoo sound release:
Headphone amp analog gain:
Reduce the hiss or give you a much louder output. Configurable from very low levels to very high.
Already tested with sensitive in-ear very prone to hiss and brilliantly confirmed with Sennheiser high-end 300 Ohms headphones.
Hardware Parametric equalizer:
Change the frequency response to correct your headphone deficiencies or to adjust the sound how you like. Use 0 battery and work on every sound source. 100% configurable
Hardware 3D effect:
Finally, a good specialization effect. Can improve sound-stage if used wisely. Configurable.
Here is the link to Voodoo sound source repository if you are curious about it.
Your turn!If you have a feature request or suggestion please
- explain it in this topic
- tell how much you can support the dev effort.
I can be crazy features request. Who knows, sometimes crazy stuff can be done
Then I'll do my best to work on it and you'll vote with donations if you are satisfied with it.
I digress... but hey supercurio are you developing/ planning to develop an app similar to voodoo sound for the Galaxy Nexus? Publish it and I will be the first to grab it from market.
The problem I see is that's how you like it.and not all developer do that way.
I don't mind to share code, but I don't like to share code that I don't tested and controlled for bugs. What you like is to share bugs to. That's the main different between us.
You think that real time sharing is a good thing, but I don't like it at all.
That lower the quality of sharing code and it's a wast of time.
Also if I want to put others code in my code I want to know what it does.
That's how you make quality code/program that works and have little bugs in them. The way you think is good is just Alfa/beta code that never will be good.
