[Q] Why and how is Kingsoft Office free?

Kingsoft Office is a great app, but it's honestly unsettling that it's free. How does the developer make money? Does it collect personal data?
If it collected personal data, I'm sure someone would've mentioned it by now after so many downloads. There are plenty of people who look into that sort of thing. As far as the $, not really sure. I'm guessing it helps promote their Pro version of the desktop software where they can get money...?
