Hi,
Before trying any custom ROM, I just got official GB 2.3.3 from LG and upgrade worked very smoothly. All settings, userapp data etc. retained. Then I thought to try with CM7 and before that planned to take full system backup. I tried going in recovery mode (I setuped TWRP 2.2.2.1 before upgrading to official GB so that I can revert back to my original Froyo 2.2.2 if something goes wrong). But to my surprised it got factory reset with GB. What ever was retained by LG update gone. I realized that LG upgrade removed my recovery.
Well, earlier attempt of setting up recovery with Flash GUI image was resulted in fast boot error and I followed this thread
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1088046 to have fresh new recovery setup. So my question is, can I use same command through fastboot.exe (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) to flash TWRP 2.2.2.1 (or any recovery)? Will it work when my phone is normal but just with Factory reset data. This is because I had already bad experience with Flash GUI Image and don't want to again go in brick mode.
Do you suggest any other way ? I find this command very easy to replace recovery when in fastboot mode. Any other such tool ?
