Checked both cores after flashing this, CleanROM LE & others, and the second core isn't running in any of them. Only turns on after installing the Dual Core mod.

Never noticed that before, but it looks like you're right.

Edit: Are we sure it's not kicking on at all or not often? Is it possible that it only turns on when really taxed? I have found this to be the case with Standard. The second core will only kick on when the first core is maxed out like in the screen shot below.

Actually the default is to turn the second core on at 90% load on first core.

Having both cores running all the time... no.

I was thinking about changing the up threshold to 50% which would kick in the second core much sooner but not sure how it will affect battery.

Any thoughts?

I'd be interested in trying something like that. I think it would kick on a lot at 50%, maybe something like 60 or 75 would be a good place to start.

Ok, try this....

I have attached 3 Mods...

Mod 1
  • Enables both cores all the time
  • HTC standard memory mgmt

Mod 2
  • Enables both cores all the time
  • Removed HTC artificial memory mgmt

Mod 3
  • Removed HTC artificial memory mgmt
  • Standard core settings

And of course one to undo it all.

I dont expect benchmarks to change but overall responsiveness might. I also would like to know how it affects battery if you would please?

Bro, I was only going back to Cleanrom 4.1 to test something, and it fked me. I lost a lot of respect for Scott when he went on a Forum rant about not getting enough XDA Thanks for his work. That wasn't classy at all. He has done some cool stuff, but he is also selfish as well. He's created a lot of issues moving to an installer, SD card wipes, and complications switching from 1.85 to 1.88 and back to 1.85 and Odexed.

He does what he wants, not what everyone else wants. He wanted a pretty compiler in Aroma so he can display his name. Grats to him though for helping as much as he does, but giving up his sleep is his own choice.

Thread Closed... Im sure you know who to thank but I wont mention any names.

    Peace Out!

You guys know where to find me.
