Cooking Delta rom with SRS right now

Noup it dont works!!! it cant load the driver

and the driver is there!

Deleted the frameworks
Changed taskbar icons
added a try for SRS WOW HD (dont works BTW)

The program Icon can be disabled by going into Xtask settings and if you dont want that icon in bottom right.... tell me, what could be the purpouse to add a taskmanager that can close apps completely tapin in the X button?

lemme point some thing just to talk in the same lang...

1.- There is no folder in the ROM for SRS WOW cause SRS WOW is a seeting enhacement, if you can go to the EXT pkg you gave me before... you will see a file called SRS WOW HD .cpl... .cpl is a settings exe, so it will go automatically to startmenu/settings/system... no folder in start menu for it.

2.- The folder with the long name called WOWHD_ARM_WCE_PPC2005_Driver.dll is the driver, transformed into a "module" ( the kitchen atomatically transform that module into a FILE called WOWHD_ARM_WCE_PPC2005_Driver.dll ) so the CPL wow hd will ask for that dll (this is the driver) to apply the audio settings and effects.

3.- The "module" has an issue... it has another file inside called same name but is a lil heavy than the module transformed... the kitchen shows me an error in that module telling me that there is a xtrange file inside the module, so i delete that file and then... the kitchen works and built the rom...

4.- Maybe utaker uses that file instead that module but he never told you that i asume, so i rewrite the file to the runing rom and tried again to run the wow hd... but dont works, so i asume again that the module and the file inside are not the same (sometimes when you compress a Module with zip or rar the module goes transformed into a file inside that module... of course a corrupted file)

5.- Finally i have some theories for this experiment... but i have some questions....

a.- Does utaker use that module with the file inside???
b.- Does utaker's SRS pkg in your kitchen have that file inside that module?
c.- Does that file is signed trusted???

by asking the "c" point i have this reasons

;;;; when you try to patch something in your runing ROM in your device by installing a cab or overwriting a exe or dll or cpl, that file that will overwrite the old one... that new file must be "TRUST SIGNED" there is a way to trut sign files to patch or overwrite files in a runing rom...

:::: it doesnt matters if the files arent trust signed before you start to cook in your oven... because the kitchen will trsut sign all the files needed.

knowing all this points we have the same knowledge to decide if the file inside the module is signed or not...

then you can trust sign that file and overwrite the one in the ROM inside your device.

The problem here is... the SRS WOW HD .cpl cant recognize the .dll seems like it doesnt exist in the rom.

you can go the app.reg file in the EXT pkg you gave me before and check the path where does the wow hd cpl will search for it... seems like the path is not in the regs... so we asume that the cpl will search into Windows folder cause all files are firstly in windows folder... other paths like program files have a copy of the same files in windows or sometimes in program files exist only sortcuts as Start menu folder inside windows.

so i ask again... wich folder have you created?... for what? and whats inside?
does it works for you then?

By the way, about that task manager... It seems not always to be fully closing applications. Had it more than once that apps ended up being minimized over and over, before after many attempts it eventually closed. But I guess that's a problem of the task manager software, not your rom.


I guess everybody has different expectations... Quite impossible to satisfy everyone.

mmmm upercase? lemme see if it has that sensibit...

Well the only app that has issues for closing tappin in the X button is Commanager, so you can tap and hold that lil icon and drag it and dropit into CLOSE tab... see the video on the gamma rom i guess...

yeah kinda imposible to satisfy...

mmm look again the post i guess the matter was htc frameworks but i dont know...

The kitchen folder structure doesnt matters in EXT pkgs cause that is just to have them all organized look at my structure is the same as yours...

C:\XDA\EXT\Hermes\COMMON\Misc_Software\SRS_WOWHD

I guess utaker has been put some fix for it somewhere else... in a tweaks pkgs or some others....

BTW i will be off for a lil time of cooking i will format my PC cause i have a virus killing my loading File xplorer time and having net issues so...

mmmmm inetresting... 30MB will be the best RAM record in hermes history wm6.5.x

Its uploading ppl... i would like to use quickmenu but now i dislike it with this new UI... maybe just leaving as is the Xtask have a start menu too dunno is at your likes

yeah yeah maybe not cooking inside the things.... like honeycomb titanium and lockscreen... is the only way you can get more RAM than just disabling the items... dunno why mayeb i sdue to regs if you disable things... the regs remains searching or another apps searchs for the thing that is disable... so this way it wont

Link ready... BTW the rom dont have Splash Screens... maybe i will re-dump the stripped and add another splash screens cause that att logos sucks jijiji

Use the cprs attached bellow you can overwrite them but remember to keep a backup of the original files, this way you can get rid of the Startmenu honeycomb cause many other today plugins uses their own start menu with shortcutsm like mobile shell 3.5.3
