CM10 more stable than CM9? No way. I tried last CM10 nightly and it's still unstable.
Every new build I try but still can't use it as my daily rom.

Stable enough that I've been using it for several days as my daily driver. And that's both Epys as well as Quarx versions as long as you set them up correctly.

Granted, there are still a few things that don't work like Netflix, and camcorder is buggy, but it's stable enough for me to use the Defy over the Galaxy Nexus that's sitting there collecting dust...

Hmmmmm interesting! Do you have defy or defy+? In official cm10 topic I saw people saying that Epsilon is better for defy and quarx build works better on defy+. I only tested epsylon's build.

Mine is a defy with a Bayer camera. Both roms work well with the corresponding kernel.

You're mad choosing the defy over the nexus :p I'm not updating until I have enough testimony saying that everything I need works, and works properly. I use my phone for just about everything as I am a gamer, a dad, and hopefully a working man if Barclay's decide to hire me (I passed interviews but I'm being "risk assessed) I also need to know its not going to brick my phone, I'm sure it is fine but I need it so I'm sitting tight until it is well documented, I only recently moved to cm9 and I like it, guess I'm a beta phobic lol

if you have just moved to cm9 i would suggest you stay there for a while...whats the hurry? its no big deal apart from a few features here and there...but at least know that Jelly bean is almost as stable as cm9 coz it started from where cm9 stopped...just give a months time and i am sure cm9 will be history for good!! Enjoy it till the time it lasts!

Notification pull down panel

Hi I am using cm9 ICS 16/7 build on defy+ and I have noticed that when you pull down the notification panel it displays the carrier as "no service" at the bottom of the panel when I have a t-mobile/virgin sim in the phone. Please advise how to fix this issue?

There's a few status bar bugs, sometimes mine just goes black, toggles disappear, nothing major. These bugs should be cleaned up when the development from here continues with the new jellybean builds ;)

    maybe a new hope :

+nadlabak: Epsylon3: I've got it! SGX PVR 1.8 running despite the locked milestone kernel :D
    41
yes, like for CM10 ... JB is a kind of Cleanup of ICS which was very experimental.... Its always better the second time, but not all features are merged yet in main CM repos... but almost all...

So we are making a common repo for Defy and Defy+ also, and only this version will have official support... CM9 is already dead ;p
    41
I suppose the image means that the hack in the DEFY's kernel to replace the PVR code is a success. Damn... I was hopeful, but this is beyond expectations! Great job devs!

To be honest though, I'm not in a hurry to jump to ICS, it still has many bugs that don't exist in CM7.2, like some issues with the Data connection and WiFi issues I've been reading here in these forums. Maybe by Fall or Winter this year it will be stable enough for picky users like me ;).

I was expecting problems, but no, that solve almost all problems without any other change !

I think CM9 will be replaced by CM10, like Froyo after Eclair ... Time will tell us
