No BldUnlock? Things are easier if you unlocked it man, unless you're still under warranty of course.

so, how are you guys rooting stock kitkat without BL unlock?

I have only found info about the xt926, and it doesnt work for the 925

I can't help you, but I want to ask you and all the people who don't want to unlock the bootloader: why not?

I assume your device is already out of the guarantee period, right?!

Motorola provides a official way to do it, risk less and relatively simple.

I just want to understand, really.

My device is still under warranty. Got a new RHD recently, as my old one got stolen
Also the old device was unlocked and running cm..
Not much reason to keep it locked except for warranty and security (from a custom recovery you can backup everything to SD and extract data without any pin)

Usually I cant resist and end up unlocking it under warranty anyway, but id prefer not to...

Stock KK is nice so far, only problem I found was a minor issue with audio. Audio will sometimes "click" very faintly before playing any sound, not much of an annoyance.
Its fast, especially on ART..

Id say its 100% woth it. kkbl roms also seem to be good..

Very good update !


Just combined it with xposed framework, greenify. It's good for 4 days battery!
