Of doesn't say that. It just says that sending the bundle of the software without HTCs legal consent is illegal;)

@soham:I'm not talking about the red letters screen,I'm saying bout the 'do you want to unlock the bootloader' screen when we flash the unlock code.bin.

Double Phew, thanks for the advice to connect my phone to my laptop...
My phone was completely dead and unresponsive after flipping it over (screen down), tried charging - no led light, tried rebooting - nothing. Moments before I was texting and had 70% battery. After connecting to laptop it immediately showed up the lock screen. So I'm thinking it got stuck in sleep mode?

Many, many thanks!

This mode is safe if we don't want to send any files to phone ( PDA etc). Via this method Samsung users unlocking their phones but in HTC its only used to repair phone if it can't boot into bootloader/system
Try holding power as the touchable buttons will lighting and hold them it stop and try to power on your phone

connect it to pc and see whether it recognises your phone as QHSUSB_DLOAD.

    QHSUSB_DLOAD is a hard brick.
Your phone is hard bricked only way to fix it is by sending it to HTC who will fix it(not for free) as you had unlocked bootloader and voided warranty.

dathe in this state the phone doesn't respond to anything. It is like a brick that's why we call it bricking our device. Yours must have been a soft brick this is a hard brick..
