Re: [ROM][AOSPA 4.2.2 JDQ39][PARANOIDANDROID 3.1] Unofficial Manta Builds (Mar 09)

Is anyone else having an issue with Google Play movies/TV shows. I'm getting a consistent error #901 I think. It says "cannot fetch license" but all my other play services work perfectly

I hadn't noticed before, but yes. Is it working on other Roms or is it a rooted issue?

I actually fixed it last night. Figures it's the stupid PA GAPPS... you need to remove the stock system version of Movies and install it from the Play Store. Works perfect afterwards.

For the life of me though i don't know why PA requires its own GAPPs that are larger then the ROM itself. From here forward I'm using the GOO.IM files.

Nothing wrong with the ROM itself though.

If you want I can upload a slimmed down version taking out the apps that can be downloaded from the play Store.

That would be awesome, removes most causes for Google Apps issues.

Why is it that PA requires its own GAPPS package?

BTW your ROM is fantastic. I'm still in the first build and it is running like a champ, longest time I've ever run a PA build between the Gnex, N7 and N10, where it didn't have issues after the first few days

Thanks! They have their own GAPPS to avoid issues with the multiple configurations. Specially the play Store, I believe.

Sweet thanks... And just after I fresh installed the 9th build with stock GAPPS. BTW can you check out a FC in Settings/Storage.

I'm did a fresh installation and it still FC. Not sure if its my Goo gapps or not causing it.

Nothing major. Pie quick setting tile revamped, I think the quiet hour settings still have not made it in to their official nightlies.

It feels like the calm before the storm :D. I'm sure they'll blow our minds again soon enough!

No, I took the plunge and imported it (it was my first Sony device). When I received it the screen was defective and I returned it.

    New Build Up

:victory:Updated build up, just synced sources. No major changes, but it looks like pie version 2 and hybrid 2 are on the horizon.

I normally don't ask for anything, I especially find very annoying people that ask for the thanks button to be pressed. With that out of they way the last build had 150 downloads, but the op only has 12 thanks. I will never ask for donations, but help me with my ego this once and press thanks! :victory:

    Known Issues

    You tell me....

    FAQ

    - How can I get this awesome pie thing to work?
The "nav pie" is actually pretty easy to enable. It´s important that you set your device into expanded desktop mode! Press the power button and click on expanded desktop!
After that go to Settings-> Toolbars and enable "Pie controls" From now on you can swipe up from the button (or any place where you set it to be) to get the pie!
    Choose gravity, size and style!

    - How can I theme the pie?
Exactly like the nav bar! Go to Hybrid properties and apply individual colors for every app under "Apps" or for all in "Interface"/ global colours

    - I can't find developer settings
To activate developer settings, open Settings > About Phone & start tapping the "Build Number" (at the bottom). You'll see a countdown and then a message "You are now a Developer". Go back into settings main list, right above the "About Phone" you'll have "Developer Options".

    - How can i get rid of the navigation bar?
To make the navigation bar disappear, go into hybrid properties & put "Navigation bar size" toggle to 0%

    - How can i change the dpi of the lockscreen?
Lock screen dpi/size toggle is right below the navigation bar size toggle

    - How can i make a screenshot?
    Vol. down + Power.

    - How can i get PIE + statusbar?
Turn navbar height to 0 and you're done.
