Credit for the artwork goes solely to the artist that made it

*Note*
This isn't a flashable zip
Currently these are for froyo 2.2
I will be updating with in the next few days to make them work for gingerbread.

*What you need*

*Instructions*
To make this your boot animation:

I take no responsibility if you brick or mess up your phone.

Requests

If any one has an animated gif they want turned into a boot screen, I'll make it for you. All I need you to do is give me the gif and I'll make it, and put it in a zip for you. If you want sound I'll experiment and see if I can make one.

This is flashable through cwm if you are using an inspire 4g. If you are using it on another phone let me know because I will have to adjust the resolution.

Great man, I appreciate it, but when I tried to flash it, it failed, and when I manually did it, it just shows up a black screen.

I flashed it earlier. I had to wipe restore and then flash it again and it worked. If you made a nandroid back up restore and try to flash again. I promise it works and looks good :).

Well I tried again, got this message in clockwork
"-- Installing: /sdcard/goodies/bootanimations/shroomy boot.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Amend scripting (update script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the Clockwork 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to creat working update zip packages.
Installation aborted."

I was running Android Revolution 4G 4.0
But I just flashed Core Droid 3.2 stock and it installed perfectly, and it looks killer.

I like the Generic Inspire, except for the text change from "Inspire 4G" to "Loading..." IMHO, would be better if it just kept repeating "Inspire 4G."

Either way, thanks, it looks great.

wow, Root Explorer FTW, been sitting here trying to copy over my bios boot animation, tried everything from adb push to astro file manager.

Worked first time once I used root explorer and copied to \data\local

Hi,

Could you make a boot animation using this image?
This is from a free wallpaper site.

I don't want it to be a flashable file. I need to manually replace a bootanimation file in a specific directory myself for the ROM I'm using.

I think it looks cool, and I'd love it if you can do this.

To be honest with something like that since its not an animated .gif. I would have to use illustrator to vector it then animate it. It would take a while to do. Even if I made it with my 3d program. If you could find an animated gif I would be more then willing to convert it for you and give you the zip.

Here ya go. Sonic Moves REALLY FAST across the screen If you want, give me more frames to work with, atleast 2x, 3x more than whats already there and I can make it better for you. as far as sound, see if you can use one of the bootanimation utility apps from the market to find the sound binarary or find one floating around the forums.

here it is slowed down. the last number in the first line of desc.txt is the frame rate. dropping this number will limit the amount of frames/sec and therefor slow it down. In this case I changed it from 15 to 5, slowing it down to about 1/3 of the speed you had it. I started at 7, it was still too fast, went to 3 and was too slow. 5 looks pretty good though
