I'm getting assert failed: run_program ("/tmp/updater.sh") == 0
E:Error in /sdcard/MIUIAndroid_Aries_2.8.17_Signed_C.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

I'm coming from Galnet's MIUI 2.3.2b, I wiped before attempting to update.

I am only somewhat familiar with that rom. I am guessing there are incompatabilities when upgrading. Th3Bill will be back online a little later in the day (perhaps with a new build) and most likely a better answer.
You can always take a little longer approach by installing a CM 9, such as Entropy's Unofficial build, run it for a few mins, and then flash miui 2.8.17 after doing wipes. I only suggest this because it works for me. :)

Ah, I see. Thanks. His "MIUI.us V4 2.8.10 for Infuse" release was able to flash and seems to be booting up fine. It's just that CWM has a ton of snow in it now. I'll try installing build C on top of this in a bit.

EDIT: I was able to update. I'm getting messages that 'Unfortunately, MiuiHome has stopped.' and I believe 'HWA settings' as well?

Hey guys, i flashed build C and found that the camera max resolution is 5mpx.. do you have any idea if th3bill will fix it to the 8mpx that CM10 and other roms already have? :good::cyclops:

I have seen the 2.8.24 changelog and did not see camera fixes other than video. I will be flashing when he releases it and check the mpx.

I can edit Camera.apk. What is holding me up at the moment is that my native device requires a CM10 base update before I can actually port MIUI's new release on top of it, as the libs they are using have patches that my base doesn't have just yet. It should be within a day or two. I apologize for the delay guys...just really can't do the port just yet...

Just wanted to see if anyone's package installer FC's? Every app I've install from file explorer/root explorer always results in "Unfortunately, Package installer has stopped." Usually followed by HWAsetting FCing.

I havent heard of that fcing but the hwa is a known bug but it doesnt seem to affect the rom itself. I would try a fresh instal with all wipes and clear dalvick cache

Just curious if I'm the only one with lag problems? Substantially slower in comparison to the GB MIUI I came from. Takes a couple seconds to open and load apps (Messages, Dialer, Contacts, etc.)

Have you checked resize any widget in your launcher settings?

Is "Access Control" working for anyone? It 'resets' after setting a password and doesn't let me pick any apps to secure.

    KNOWN ISSUES:
    • Videocamera : Use VideoCam Illusion
      Slight Lag possible on screen transitions
      USB tether
    The graphics related issues are due to not having proper drivers to use for this. Don't ask for an ETA on a fix. Moto won't be giving us the drivers, so there is no fix


    If you need to report a NEW bug, report it once, and the next TWO people VERIFY it. I don't need everyone reporting same bug 20 times. I you can, provide me the following information:
    1. Version you're using
    2. What type of fwipe you did and what ROM you came from
    3. Have you restored any data from something like Titanium Backup
    4. What app is misbehaving and what you were doing when it started
    5. Logcats<--THIS IS PREFERRED.

    If you don't know how to logcat, go HERE and learn. This really nice guy took the time to write out a good how to :)

    When you have a LOGCAT and would like to post it, please go to pastebin and post it in there, then LINK that location in this thread...I don't want to see them posted directly in here.
