Low sound bug correlates to dalvik move to sd-ext.
That is not my experience.

I use Alex-V's mod of Amarullz's script which moves everything to Ext4, including dalvik. I experience no low sound bug. Could be because I drop Alex-V's script into the ROM before flashing (system/etc/init.d).

There will come a time that you reach dalvik's storage limit on your device and you will not be able to add additional apps, yet that will not occur if it resides on your Ext4 partition where you can provide it room to expand.

I have absolutely no mobile data with rom 2.0 or 2.1. Everything worked fine up to V1.6 - I've reinstalled V2.1 several times (complete wipe, task29), same result. Furthermore, the connection to O2 Germany is very bad, sometimes I don't even receive any signal.
As someone posted before V2.1 seems to be critical in combination with O2 Germany :(

When i wanna download new apps, the download starts and after downloading, it wants to install the app but it aborts with a popup called "paketdatei ist ungültig" (= file is invalid)...

This is new since 2.1..
Any solution?

I know it always happens to me when i on this rom.bt if i try that workaround i don't face this problem.
Try it.if it still doesn't work then try to fix permissions

Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium

Sorry but i still didn't get what you mean woth this workaround.
I was in google play, started the download and stayed on the app page.
It still aborts in installation.
I already tried fix permissions and deleted google play cache...

You have convinced me not to flash this rom for the moment

All,

I've seen quite a few posts lately that say Tytung's v2.1/2.0 ROM is not very fast or smooth. To the contrary, I've had a great UI experience with Tytung's ICS rom. Since I have the luxury of owning more than one HD2, and since I kept my Gingerbread version current (just in case I had to "fall back" in the event of something I didn't like in ICS, I figured I'd perform a side-by-side comparison of Tytung's 2.37 GB rom vs his 2.1 ICS rom. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

For the most part, you'll see that GB is slightly quicker, but hardly noticeable. So for those who are experiencing really "slow" performance, it must be something that you're running, or some other config issue, since I've now flashed v2.1 on another HD2 and have also had good results.

Now, if Tytung can figure out a fix for the barcode scanner issue, and possibly a way around TMO's tethering block ;-)

The video has been posted on youtube at this link.

Hi Bro,

thks for the video link; I'm quite convinced now that ICS ROM for the moment is not as FAST RESPONSIVE as I could hope.
It's only my proper opinion.

Anyway, thks Tytung for his work.

See you.

UPDATE: Barcode scanner still not 100%

Tytung,

There is still a problem with the barcode scanner in some apps. Inigma works fine, but when using a product called "Out of Milk", the scanner produces the symptom in the attached screenshot. I've got a vanilla install of your ROM, and have tried it on my other HD2 with the same results.

Reference original post #6268

Tytung, as requested, I forwarded the barcode scanning issue to rapmv78's thread thinking that the problem may have been related to HWA. A user there (dermann) responded that when he turns off softkeys, the barcode scanning applications work.

I tried this and can validate/confirm that indeed, turning off the softkeys resolves the problem with QR Droid and Out of Milk.

My suspicion is that the barcode scanning engines of those two apps expect a native screen resolution of 800x480, and somehow, the softkey navigation bar reduces it by 24px or more (depending on the height of the nav bar). I'm guessing that this reduces the effective screen size to 776x480, and it's something that the scanning engines can't handle. These are just "educated guesses" on my part, and I may be totally off base, but it seems to make sense to me... when you turn off the softkeys, the scanners work fine.

See anderin's screenshot of QR Droid in post #6273 where he has softkeys on, and compare with cr5n's screenshot of QR Droid with no softkeys in post #6289.

I'd hazard a guess at faces, mask being force closes (autocorrect can do wondrous things) so probably the app Effects FC Camera (although I think the correct name is actually FX Camera) keeps FCing for him.

Yes I think it's the "time lapse" mode and the funny faces you have in the video camcorder settings.
Actually, selecting one of these causes FCs for me too...

edit : same thoughts as the post before...

THANX tytung

This is amazing, works very well! Changed from your version 1.3 to this. Fantastic work!
Now I'm searching for a new (working) battery percentage colorized

Hello guys

I'd like some help as I don't find how to activate the softkey buttons with this ROM.

I installed the "Portrait&Landscape MOD2" from here:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1407003

Problem is, I only have the modifications for the notification bar (which I don't care at all :D ) but no softkey buttons

It says:
ROM - Tytung's NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.1 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r2.3-uniMAC)
Portrait&Landscape MOD2 - Download
Portrait Only MOD2 - Download
Stock - Download
Once the mod is applied, go into Reloaded ICS > Navigation bar > Edit mode --- and change the layout according to the screenshot above.

Disable Settings > System > Search to Recent

If you return to stock, you'll have to delete ReloadedSettings.apk manually
But there ain't no options "Navigation bar" in the Reloaded ICS menu....

Am I misunderstanding something?

edit : same thoughts as the post before...

Maybe he means when you open camcorder....there's the option to apply effects, on of them being some sort of funny face effect, and his is force closing when he chooses that option.

What's rallenty, faces mask?

Yes, forgive me for the confusion of words, i not explained well :) I meant browsing through the video options, FX and the timelapse generate an FC. Ah, I was thinking that the ROM v1.1a IceCreamTosti contains an interesting option for the intelligent use of the flash (flash fires a long time to focus the image and a short flash before shooting) .. it would be nice here too :) I also call your courtesy if there is a face-detection and intelligent auto-focus option to implement in the next release :)

Thanks,

Luca

You have to turn on Softkeys first. Go to SETTINGS->DISPLAY and check the option "SOFWARE NAVIGATION BAR" (software, but it is misspelled in the screen). Reboot and see if your softkeys show up. I've never applied the softkey mods BEFORE activating softkeys, so I don't know if your install procedure will work.

Network Data Issues

Installed this ROM a few days ago and the Network Data (2G in my area:mad:) was working fine. Now I can get not network data at all. Have tried everything I know. Have check APN setting and they appear right. Have toggled airplane mode, 2G only and others with no luck at all. While it is only 2G it does allow me to send and receive emails in the field. WiFi works great.

Any and ALL suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks !!
