From what I've read, there is pretty low risk in flashing these. But here's how I backed mine up:

Code:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17 of=/sdcard/origRadio.bin
To revert, just reverse it:

Code:
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/origRadio.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17
I flashed a new radio, and reverted via adb shell, and got my exact old baseband back.

If someone on 1.85 (Flashed the ruu) and 1.73 could run the following in adb:

adb shell dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17 of=/sdcard/radio.img

And PM me the radio.img file from their SD Card, I can get those versions up in a jiffy.

If you're trying to dig through the RUU's, it's not much use. We actually need someone on those radios to dd the image out of the phone. Unless you feel like doing all that re-locking and unlocking.

So does this mean that, if your boot-loader is unlocked this command won't work in adb unless you re-lock the boot -loader?

Cause i seem to run into this problem:

Code:
C:\adb>adb shell dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17 of=/sdcard/radio.img
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
error: device not found

What if you type:
Code:
adb devices
You may need to reinstall HTC drivers - looks like adb's not seeing your phone.

On windows 7 I have to open and close the HTC program for adb or fastboot to work. Could not saying this will work for u but it does for me.

I'll add a blurb about this in the OP. Never experienced that before....

Wierd behavior on the new radio for me. Great reception, wifi, LTE, and 3g. Every once in a while...it all looks fine, but then I can't fetch data? Speed test fails, Apps wont show data...etc. I can't tell when this is happening until I open a app that tries to fetch data...gives me that uneasy feeling :/ I have to stay with 1.85. Maybe its my phone/ software-hardware combination or whatever.

Running Rogers RUU changed baseband version from ending in a U back to ending in an L. Flashing new ROMs and radios would not... strange.

Not entirely through my day yet, but so far I'd say overall reception and thus idle battery usage are both noticeably improved.

Just flashed the 2.09 radio and after being on the 1.85 radio, all i have to say is wow... my LTE download speeds went up from between 30-40 Mbps to between 40 -50 Mbps

WiFi speeds are also about 5 Mbps. Definitely using this one from now on.

Okay after 24 hours or so, I'm prepared to say this is definitely the best so far. I had 1.73, 1.82, and 1.85, and this one is noticeably more stable.

I'm cautiously starting to believe it's solved the data-signal dropping problem that plagued all the other radios. I run Juice Defender, which turns the data connection on and off all day, and that played hell with the other radios. Sometimes the data signal would just not reconnect unless I rebooted it. With this one, it reconnects in a matter of seconds without a hitch.
