Oh right, this was on 10.2.1-d2att. I'm still debating on whether I'll be switching to Android, so I'm sticking with the stables for now.

One other issue though, the auto brightness is really dim, is there any way to increase the auto brightness's intensity?

Settings > Display > Brightness
Make sure it's set to A (Auto) then click the cog wheel at the right. Then click adjust and you can input your own settings.

Post in the new thread guys! We can't have two active threads.

Well I guess if you're gonna talk about 10.2 post here but that isn't really supported anymore [emoji15]

I don't have time to play with nightlies unfortunately, on the cyanogenmod website 10.2 is the latest stable so that's what I'm on. And since this is the 10.2 thread, I'm gonna go ahead and keep posting stuff about 10.2 here. Unless there is a stable of 11 that I missed? I got an update notice but the filename looked like a nightly

"Stable", no. But that nomenclature is vague anyway. I've been on 11 for a while now and it is pretty much as stable as you can get.

I don't exactly "mess around" with nightlies either...flash one and that's it.

I just posted that to warn people that most of us have moved on to 11 so support here is gonna be slim even if it is the technically the most "stable"...and we didn't want people posting about 11 in this 10.2 thread because it just causes confusion.

But this is the original cm thread. There should be one thread for cm period. You guys added a thread that was not needed. Most info is on this thread anyways.

Of course it is. Unfortunately the creator of this thread is not around to change the title...so we're talking about 11 in a thread that says 10.2.

If a newcomer came here looking for the 11 thread, do you actually think that he would come here to the 10.2 thinking that "oh they must have not updated it yet after months of 11 being out"?

Regardless of whether it's the "original CM thread" is irrelevant. The thread WAS needed because the pertinent information on this thread's OP was incorrect, and led people to a page with discontinued nightlies, a lack of current install instructions, and an outdated title.

This thread is still here for CM10.X, but we were all getting tired of having to answer the same questions over and over.

"What is d2lte?"
"Why are the current nightlies so old?"
"Is my phone supported by d2lte?"
"New bootloader? What?"

If you have a real reason to keep posting in this thread, go ahead and say so, but as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather have a new thread with new questions and answers rather than one where people keep asking the same thing.

P.S.: "Cool story, bro."

Hopefully I get an answer, I recently lost my n5 to the toilet. I would like to install the 10.1 cm but my s3 has the newest bootloader, i747ucuemjb I believe. When I flash it I get the assert error status 7 which lists the previous bootloaders. How can I update the install-script? Cm10 doesn't do it at all which is weird, nor 10.2 only the 10.1 branch. I rather have an older cm as they are faster I think but that error is stopping me from I stalling 10.1! 10 works fine but that camera error is not worth it(unless someone can point out to a permanent fix) thanks again!

Just remove the bootloader check lines at the top of update-script.

I am sticking with 10.2.1 as it sounds like CM11 has been given up on by the developers for the GS3 which is a shame. This is still a solid phone.

    CyanogenMod 10 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

    This is the support thread for CM10 on the AT&T Galaxy S3. It's a major work in progress. It may cause all the things in the disclaimer to happen, or steal your girlfriend while you are busy flashing ROMs.

    Known issues being worked on:
    * Picasa sync doesn't work (if you overwrite the Gallery with the Google version, you'll break the camera, don't do it). We need someone to port the code from Gallery3D to the new Gallery!
    * 1 frame flicker when transitioning between overlay/gpu rendering.
    * All the things.

    Install instructions:
    1. Install ClockworkMod Recovery for "d2att". Sorry, CM cannot provide support for other recoveries, although they may work fine.
    2. Get the nightly build here.
    3. Reboot into recovery and install.

    Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them.

    I made some ODIN-flashable files that contain the bootloader, RPM, TZ, and baseband of the stated versions, so that people won't have to go completely back to stock TW. It's intended for those not on the necessary bootloaders yet so that they can flash future CM builds. Put them into the PDA section in Odin and flash away.

    Tested by fellow users, works fine. Please flash at your own risk!

    EDIT: Threw up Mediafire mirrors, since d-h.st seems to be down randomly.

    New build is up! Seriously MAJOR kernel and driver update. Hardware VSYNC ("butter") is supported (not 100% optimal yet, Qualcomm is still pushing code out every morning). Big interactivity boost due to some performance work I did. Bugs fixed, A2DP is working, Trebuchet is in, LED is working properly....

    Fixing the camera bugs is next on my list.

    I don't recommend using a different kernel with this build. Over 250 patches have gone in, and no third-party kernel developers are up to speed yet.

    This has basically consumed my entire life for the last week. Have fun :cool:

    SORRY!!

    New build is up now and actually working! Remind me to not do releases in a sleep-deprivation haze!

    :eek:

    New build is up. Wakeup issue is fixed, and full overlay UI is enabled.

    Have fun.
