Thanks for that - does it matter if I choose between CAF/ALSA/MSM?

Trying to use this on my moto x4:

Android 8.1.0
Magisk v17.1
Call recorder APKs were taken from the OP (v3.0.2, root v2.0.3.1)
Tried CAF and ALSA
Tried WAV and MP3

I've granted all permissions (and root). When I make a call (incoming or outgoing), I get an error in my notification area saying "An error has occurred, this call cannot be recorded". Is there a debug area where I can see or export the logs from the app to figure out what the issue is?

EDIT: Figured out the issue. I had to change my device type. Changed it to "Motorola Moto X" and it worked instantly.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...org.skvalex.cr

To use root features, install the attached ROOT-module: CallRecorderROOT_v.2.0.3_1.apk

Description:
Call Recorder - SKVALEX is intended for automatic call recording. The app provides functionality to record both sides on devices with such support. But some devices don't have 2-way call recording support, or have issues with Bluetooth recording.

Also, the app provides wide functionality to manage recordings:
- Search recordings
- Conversion from one format to another (e.g WAV to FLAC/OPUS/MP3/etc.)
- Adding notes to recorded files
- In-call control button while call recording: you can easily start/stop recording during a call
- Enter to the app using password (or fingerprint)
- Auto clean-up - automatically removes old recordings according to rules set by you. Starred recordings ignored.
- Exceptions: you may set up phone numbers, contacts or groups for specific actions, like always record or do not
- Filename template: you can easily change structure of created files
- Cloud backup support
- Playback recording over main speaker or handset speaker
- Access recording from within contact info
- Call confirm: the app will ask you whether you want to make a call or not
- After call actions dialog: the app will ask what to do with a recorded call
- Vibrate on call start/end

I have the identical issue on my Essential PH-1 running Pie: only my voice is recorded; very long time paid user, Play Store version installed, root module installed, Magisk 17.1 installed.

Which device do I select?

Any other advice?

Thank you,
Keith

Paid user, and after a long time of backing up and restoring through Titanium I found out there's a new version/entry on Play!

Thanks!
