HTC One 2014 AKA m8 Hybrid Kernel

What is a Hybrid?

Hybrid kernel means the core although still has the 3.4.0 kernel label, it has incorporated many advanced features available only on Linux 3.8+ and beyond. I have backported many of those advanced features for Linux 3.4, hence the name hybrid!

2. So does that mean the VZW kernel currently is not working?

    thank you very much for this post. very few understand that a "simple" or "minor" changes may take hours and lots of patience to add. Hacking the exFAT from Samsung to replace HTC's Texura exFAT driver itself took 2 days to accomplish with lots of logs and debugging. Not to mention all the other patches I've done over the course of my kernel.

    Kernel 007 is out for GPE. I will do Sense later.. I hate HTC.. switching between Sense and GPE is such a pain :( Anyone knows an easier way?

    elemental is using CLOSED SOURCE binary from HTC.. I am using open source wifi source from CAF...

    HTC is back to its old game again... they DID NOT RELEASE the corresponding WIFI source for their kernels on HTC M8, that's why I HAVE NOT released ANY GPE kernels, because the CAF WIFI source is not compatible with their GPE kernel and as you can see even Sense kernels have compatibility issues.

    I can use the STOCK CLOSED SOURCE BINARY Wifi driver from HTC, but you will LOSE 80% of the tweaks because it limits me on what I can do to a kernel :(

    Blame HTC for playing this game all the time.. this has happened for many years now :(


    BTW, 004_r2 is out.. fixed missing UV control
