It's not possible to get some portions of the Xperia rom (at the moment) working on 4.2.2 -- I have already tried it out.

Noob tips?

Greetings,

I have recently overcome my fear of rooting/flashing. :cowboy:
I've tried a couple of roms, and want to give this one a shot.

I wanted to check with you before I try it - I have absolutely no clue about int2ext4+. Is this mandatory, or can I proceed without int2ext4+ or a2sd.

Any more tips?

No worries, just download v2.1 which has Int2ext4+ baked in. And read the Installation instructions. Int2ext works instantly.

Firstly, Ich bin Auslander und sprechen nicht gut Deutsch. :D

I tried installing the v2.1. I did a clean wipe and then installed from the zip.
The installation completes, I get the initial Xperia splash screen and the animation. But after that it just displays "Android wird aktualisiert... Apps werden gestartet". And then the loop continues - splash screen, animation, message...

Any suggestion to do it right? :fingers-crossed:

Never mind.. a reboot did the trick! :victory:
Call/Wifi/Mobile Data work fine and that's all I care about right now. Will let you know if I come across something(apart from the storage problem I'm already fighting ;) )

Danke schon!

Bitteschön! ;)

By the way: I could need your help with beta-testing my latest Xperia Z rom based on Jelly Bean 4.2.2!
If you or anyone else here is interested, then just drop me a line with your email address.

I am planning to release it soon... if no severe bugs get found.

P.S.: Rao, where are you from?

The problem in trying unstable builds is that my HTC desire is currently my primary mobile.
If you think it won't absolutely stop incoming calls, then I could give it a shot.

And I am from India... Had taken up German language during my schooling :D

The beta version does not have any severe issues or FCs.

Before someone amongst my beta testers is wondering.. The 4.2.2 rom comes without xperia z lockscreen. It's the only feature loss.

Thanks for volunteering! :D

Thanks spezi77 for your effort to port Xperia rom to our phone.

I would like to share my experience on flashing this rom,

Q1: I got an installation aborted when trying to flash v2.1 zip, message as follows:
symlink: some symlinks failed
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

A: My current hboot (CM7 r2) is not supported, need to flash Stock hboot from the website:
http://alpharev.nl

Q2: After installation and reboot, the phone got stuck at Xperia boot screen over 20 mins.

A: I was using A2SD+, need to flash INT2EXT4+ script below
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1716124

Rom is running stable, all widget, lockscreen, usb storage is working. :good:
Now searching a fix for the camera glitch bug.

Pretty stable. Facing slowness when I try doing a few things together, but that's my phone acting up. I know.
Good job mate. Keep it up. Now going back to your kitkat build :)
