@Chainfire, I'm a fan of your great work. Would you like to make one for SM-G925X which is Samsung S6 Edge Live Demo Unit. The stock recovery for this device is attached (extracted from the stock firmware file AP_G925XXXU1AOC6_LLK_CL4260274_QB4268704_REV02_use r_low_ship.tar.md5).

Hi there!

Would that be the below file that you're referring to?

https://download.chainfire.eu/316/CF...xx-gti9505.zip

I'm also on a i9505 with the very same official version as you.

Thanks!

Hello Chainfire,

Please look into root for the Note Edge SM-N915G, at the moment there are only CF Auto roots for Kit Kat. Thank you so much!

Is Chainfire still making new releases of CF-AUTO-ROOT?

If not, does anyone know how to adapt existing AUTO_ROOT for new firmware? Shouldn't be too difficult, I guess...

Here is what I did and it worked for me. I first installed the new firmare on my phone.

1. Extract stock recovery.img and boot.img from the new firmware I used 7zip It complained about some end of file error, but ignore that.
2. Put it in your phone on SDcard
3. Install flashify on your phone.
4. Flash CF-AUTO-ROOT for KitKat even thought you're running Lollipop with Odin
5. After CF-AUTO-ROOT is installed your phone will boot up
6. Flash the stock recovery.img and boot.img from Lollipop via flashify
7. Reboot.
