I have a skyrocket and this tool is a great find. Sure gonna make things easier in my opinion. Had no trouble installing but would recommend everyone restart PC after install. Now my suggestion or request my wife has a Samsung infuse so if you could make this compatible with the infuse that would be oh so awesome.....
Thanks great work....

You can download the files, and use the "other Samsung phones" option on the phone selection menu, I will only be doing this for the SGSII's for now.

great tool!!!

ajster1989,

thanks for the toolkit, makes things much easier when I'm being too lazy to type... :D

One thing, when I click "Exit Toolkit" I'm getting an error message:
-----------------------
taskkill.exe - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem.
-----------------------

Odd thing is that I'm not having any problems using the toolkit.
(running XP sp3 <-- work machine, blargh)

just wanted to let you know about that.

thanks again,

rob

Looks like I'm the only one with this problem, but the app never recognizes my device. I have a Skyrocket and it sits at the "Waiting for Device" screen.

You will have to find the stock kernel from the dev section because with this tool you have to put your files in it and I have downloaded and played with it a little not much but I think if you download the stock kernel you can flash with this. But if not you can always use Odin and just flash the stock kernel....

The toolkit on mine will not recognize it if it is already plugged in when I open the program. I just unplug, and then replug it in, and all seems to work fine.

This looks pretty awesome! What does side load apk do?

When the market downloads a program it's downloading an apk file, and when you sideload an apk it installs the selected apk on the device. This actually works on all phones, no root required
Just google the program you want, download it, and select the downloaded .apk file. (but try not to steal apps).

NOTICE - Just wanted to let everyone know that the toolkit might not be updated for a while. Not because I am not working on it. But I am switching programming languages and improving a lot of aspects of the toolkit. Mostly because of the feedback I have gotten. I am going to be doing the toolkit in a way that will save you all a lot of hassle with installing and downloading, and the next major release will also auto update. I will however be doing bug fixes until the next release. I want to thank all of my followers and donors for the continuous feedback and support. I do this all for you.
    Thanks,
    Ajster1989

Rooting and Flashing has never been easier.

Samsung Galaxy S II Toolkit Beta V2.3

Here is what it can do so far:
    - At start it checks to see if USB Drivers is installed, if it's not installed will download and installs Kies for you. (This insures that your USB Drivers are correctly installed)
    - At start it checks for USB debugging connection to ADB
    - Phone selection menu to chose which SGS II phone you have, and set's tool kit up for that phone.
    - Only downloads the files for the phone you select (Currently only T989 and I727)
    - Guides you through installing CWM
    - Guides you through Rooting your device
    - Guides you through Flashing a Custom ROM
    - Guides you through Flashing back to STOCK (Auto downloads when needed)
    - Reboots Recovery and Download
    - Side Load APK's
    - Keeps track of your current phone, last flashed recovery, last flashed rom.

Want a feature that I haven't added, request it in the comments or PM me and it might be added to my next release.
Features to come in next release:
    - I will be adding support for ROMs to be flashed through ODIN.
    - I will be looking into adding a menu of different ROMs to download
    - I will be adding Super.Wipe Script, will be pushed with all ROMs. (Waiting for Dev Permission)
    - I will be adding also the counter reset script as an option.

Please let me know of any bugs.
    Known Bug's so far:

    -none (let's find some)

The more feedback I get the quicker I will have a better version, will be adding support for the rest of the family of SGS II's too.

    Notice:

This is the first release with the Skyrocket support, and as I DO NOT have a Skyrocket (I have a T-Mobile Hercules T989) please give me all the feedback you can.
Better ways to root, flash cwm, and anything else you can think of.

Also if you want to help me get a skyrocket so I can better support, then donate to me.
