Also curious when we will see this.

I did some digging in the LH9 OTA, and these are the NFC files that were replaced or patched:
That being said, all of those are overwritten with "fixed" files during the Google Wallet installation -- with the exception of those located in /framework. So, it's reasonable to assume that whatever has "broken" in the LH9 update is in those files. I've included a flashable package that includes the LH1 versions of those files as well as incorporates the necessary "fixed" files (eg. SGS3-TW-US_variants-lib_nfc-fix.zip).
I haven't a chance to test this myself, however, I figured someone here may be visiting a PayPass location before I get a chance to. So, if you're interested, I've attached the package below -- please let me know your results!
As always, please make a backup before flashing this or any CMW package!
Tried this out. Our work has a Paypass vending machine, and it did not work. I've had the previous LG1 fw work on it just fine. LH9 does not. Bummer... should have backed up the files before flashing this lol
Thanks for trying though.
It does not affect usage. I tried it yesterday at pollo tropical and worked no problem. If you don't like that message, you need triangle away. Use it wisely or brick your phone.

can someone tell me where I am going wrong or missed something. I just rooted my phone yesterday but did not flash any roms. I than tried following the instructions for this. I have the Tmobile SG3.
I purchased the file explorer app and changed the 3lines I tried the HTC_jewel as well as the Nexus Galaxy. Next I flashed the app wallet the newest version that is available. When I reboot and try to load the app I get stuck on "adding account".

followed all the instructions and google wallet added the card for me fine after the third attempt. I'm now doing the second nandroid backup. We'll see how it goes when I try it out sometime. Also I had no option of adding the prepaid google card. Seems they discontinued it so no one can claim $10 anymore... Bummer
I'm rooted on stock ICS tmobile
Also does anyone know where the backup location is? It saved my files oddly and the dates were mixed up so I'm not sure which is which. If I can view it on a pc I can determine when it was modified... Thanks
how long do you guys typically hold your phone to a terminal before you get a transaction confirmation
For those that have this working. Can you check the about screen and see what it says. Mine says, controller applet version: not present. Secure element borked? I sure hope not.

Try the following:
***Note*** If the ROM your are flashing is TouchWiz-based for step 5 you need to flash one of the below for your device BEFORE step 6 and then continue.
- Force Stop on Wallet app
- Clear Cache and Clear Data on Wallet app (in Application manager)
- Delete all traces of it from both locations /system/app and /data/app/ (might be called Wallet.apk too)
- Reboot
- [OPTIONAL] Flash a fresh version of your AOSP-based ROM (no wipe required)***
- Push the apk from this link and set the permissions (DO NOT OPEN IT YET!!)
- Reboot
- Open the Wallet app and set everything up
- Check what Tap and Pay says in "About" section of the app
- Confirm what happens on transaction

Changed the lines, forced stop, cleared the data, deleted the com.google.android.apps.wallet folder in /data/data, rebooted and it went through. I am not sure that all the other steps were necessary but I did so just in case there was a trigger stored in a data file somewhere.
