Hey slick_rick or sbrissen, do you guys know if the two major issues that some people (including myself) have with AOSP roms, being MMS and signal issues) is being actively worked on or should I just resolve to not having a fully stable AOSP rom on my device?

Thanks.

Well nothing much I can do since I'm not really a dev but sbrissen does know some of you have issues but is pretty busy with real life at the moment. Probably won't see anything for a while since it does work fine for the majority of users.

I've been away from this ROM for a month and the bug list is still the same, is anyone working on this? Or is the rom just doomed to keep improving trivial stuff without fixing important stuff?

That's a ballsie comment. Sbrissen has created a great rom that runs awesome as a daily driver so much so I've been using since day one and your gonna ask "is anyone working on this[rom]? Or is the rom just doomed.." Smh

If you've truly been on for a month you'd know this rom is improving by leaps and bounds daily.

Not to mention rule number one on CM ROMs is do not ask eta's.

I for one thank you greatly sbrissen and any others behind this rom for your dedication to excellence.

Just curious, I'm on a ma7 touch wiz rom and I'd like to flash this rom. What steps should I take to ensure gps and mms work?

Does anyone know of a way I can get Google wallet to work? Been scouring the site for days reading everything and I'm not sure if I've found the most practical way yet :(

oh the traditional righteous evasive reply!
I'm not saying that the people that made this rom are idiots or anything. I'm not asking for etas. I'm asking if there are still hands working on the meat and potatoes of the rom.

what im saying is that i don't much care for polish in desk clock or afrikaans on trebuchet when the gps still doesn't work (for me) and 5ghz wifi still doesn't connect... not that anybody bothered to put that on the big list when i mentioned it a month and a half ago...

and why is it that every f@#&ing time i ask a question or hold a conversation with someone about a bug someone that has no clue on the answer to the question or anything about the bug chimes in with a righteous comment on how I'm wishing death to the dev for saying something minor

Nightlies have been very solid for me, but what's up with the GPS fix ? Today I had to flash back to the last unofficial in the middle of a trip because we went into a LTE area. It's weird that even turning LTE off on the phone won't get me a lock. But the unofficial locks right away. It has to be a big job to maintain CM on more than one phone and trying to have a life too. Please let us know if we can help with anything. Thanks for all your work!

+1 on a GPS fix. I had to flash back to TW today because we went on a trip where I needed Google Maps. But I love this ROM so much I am back on CM less than an hour after I am home.

SD card keeps unmounting with screen off, ramping up media scanner and (presumably) Android OS. Battery life has noticeably dropped. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated

I did not mean to offend. Your post just came off like the above stated abrasive.

I read it as "hey are y'all even trying" and while I'm not a dev I would be rather pissed if I was when performing relatively free labor.

I don't mean to flame or seem "self righteous" but from using since day one I've almost never had MMS probs 'cept very early days, my GPS works fine (it may take a little longer I think) and I don't have WiFi or LTE issues. I thought blue tooth was fixed (not that I use it) and a few others. Chrome issue was resolved etc.
From my readings though any major problems where being fixed pretty regularly. I for one never really had major problems. And any I did have were fixed within the week.

So based on that your post seemed rather nasty. I will however genuinely apologize for any offense that I may have caused you as it was not my intent.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)
    Code:
    [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.stickit"]Stick it! (Pop-up Player)[/URL]
[URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil&hl=en"]MoboPlayer[/URL]- It's another very capable, free video player with floating player functionality. Plus its free!

DO NOT USE 20121011 GAPPS OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES, USE 20121212 GAPPS.

If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

Screenshot thing is a known issue.

Also, guys I'm glad your all crazy about the CM10.2 thing but this is still the 10.1 thread. So can we please keep it on topic?

I'll start a cm10.2 thread shortly with builds. the screenshot issue is because of the "legacy" mali gpu blobs. until we get blobs that work properly with 4.3 there will be graphic issues
