Hi, Mike. Thank you for your hard work. I find the most contributor of battery eating is the screen. If you can slightly reduce the brightness of the screen when the phone is used in some dark places, that will be a great help for saving battery.
ok finaly got my phone rooted and installed recovery..first thing i installed was adfree..to get ride of those irritating ads
i ll wait to flash your rom when i can download the 1.2.1
then ill let you know how the volume + works on you rom..
for now a good night for you mike..and damn you response on all the questions!!you dont sleep?
gr gerardroid
The X1 is now rooted and this looks like a great ROM to replace my bloated Telco one!
I think it's the CPUStats app from here:But I also have a little OT question While you guys where talking about the cpu freq, some guys posted screens of stats (like in post #556), and I'd like to know which app that was. Was looking for ages in Play Store, but did not find anything similar
Also, the arrays.xml in framework-res.apk has changed from earlier versions of Sense, or at least from the last version I looked at for the DHD. I don't know how it compares to that on newer phones like the Sensation, might take a look later. But we probably can't take known working values from other phones, we'd have to start from scratch and experiment. And since I haven't rooted yet I can't really test any settings. With auto-brightness settings it's always hard to make everyone happy
What would be cool if you could make one of those lightspeed ones were you just keep the Weather and Camera UI and App.
And use mostly native ICS including browser would make this machine a monster!
Cheers!
Hope you take it into consideration!
You can use ROM Cleaner to strip the ROM from whatever sense parts you don't like and/or don't use

If new HTC updates don't help enough with battery life, I might try to work out some slightly lower autobrightness settings, but I'm hoping they won't be needed. On the DHD it was just too difficult to get something everyone liked. I decided I didn't like the darker screen, so I went back to stock settings. The battery life improved anyway with new HTC updates, Mike's ROMs, and improved kernels.

A: Delete your htcsense.com account. It takes A LOT of your battery and CPU usage.
Q 9: I have some strange issues with my ROM that nobody reported before. What should I do in first place?
