Upgrading by flashing stock NC2 Firmware by Odin as stated by Docholiday is best way.I don't have a T999 device but my friend does. I am trying to help him upgrade. Since I do not have physical access to the device I have to rely completely on forums and cannot personally test things out. I also do not want to make him experiment and end up causing soft/hard brick. So I would love if someone can answer few questions. Thanks !
current device model - T999
current baseband - UVDMD5
How do I upgrade to the latest UVUENC2 firmware, bootloader, and modem to run a Kitkat based ROM ?
Also are there any recovery flashable zips for UVUENC2 firmware, bootloader, and modem ? I found this thread by @DocHoliday77 which lets you upgrade to latest stock using ODIN. I don't want to go through the entire process of installing the latest stock just to get the latest bootloader and modem.
Also there is this thread for latest modem . I am not sure if installing it will enough or if I need to get the latest bootloader as well from somewhere.
I hope I haven't made this post very convoluted. All I need is to be on the latest bootloader and modem so that I can run latest KitKat based ROMs. Thanks !

Is there a way to disable floating mode? Every time I click on a link, or even open chrome from the launcher it always opens in floating mode, the only way to get it to go full screen is to open it from the recent apps

I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Anyone try the 3/24 build with the new Deathly kernel? Was trying to wait before I jumped in but nobody's talking about it, ha.
Same... Running 2/28 nightly and taking a front facing pic in Instagram caused a freeze, then reboot. :-\
Front facing pic in Camera app seems to work fine.
