Hey guys I've been out of the loop for a while but it seems like some major improvements have been made right now I'm on the may 7th build if i were to put on the latest one do I have to whipe everything or just cache and flash it?

The latest few builds have been a bit buggy (hangs/reboots) for a lot of people, plus the WiFi calling works for some and not others. If things are smooth for you on your current setup, I would recommend leaving it alone.
But if you want to install it, wipe cache & dalvik. If you have issues after that, you can try a ROMWipe and clean install. As always, make a backup first.

Have you tried it? I'm worried about screwing my recovery up and having to resort to messing with ODIN.
Edit: Just tried it, seems to work fine. The on-screen buttons doesn't work, but the graphical update is nice.

I am running the 06/26 build and I think things are running more fluently.... Apollo music player us running without starting my phone over so that's alsome. Although the album arts never seem to get corrected...I don't know if that is an app problem or phone but it irritating... I like that look of the app just hate the album art doesn't have a good cache or whatever it's called

Apps Question with 6/18 build
I am a noob. I have spent a few hours searching this thread and haven't found an answer that I quite understand. I cannot find my apps on my SD Card and I understand that it is in a different location. I just don't know how to make the system recognize the SD Card. I am not wording this well, I apologize.
I, obviously, need simple terms or directions on how to make the 6/18 build recognize my SD Card so I can load my apps from it.

I see where they are found but do I have to have the apps on the settings point to them to recognize them. I can open the emmc folder but I can't figure out how to make the apps show on the screen.
Edit - what i mean to say is that my music player can see all my music in the emmc folder but none of the apps are recognized by the OS. How can I make them be "seen" or do I have to just download everything again.

If you want go into settings go to storage and then push menu. hit storage config. And select use interneal storage. This swaps your SD cards so apps install to your externel card when you move them (I think)

i CLEARLY read that and your missing my point with your EMPHASIS on first. i have read the working not working etc, and it says there that camera is supposed to work in panoramic mode
but anyways i got it to work as its supposed to

so you had installed this rom and had the camera working normally for a short while before it crashed? what rom did you have on it previously? any chance you missed something when you whipped it before flashing? any chance we might be able to pull a fully working camera out of his interesting bug report?
Are you saying that you HAVE already installed the apps and the OS don't recognize them -- or are you saying that you have NOT installed the apps and want to so the OS will see it in the settings?
Anyways I would use something like Titanium Backup to backup my apps + data so to make it easier to re-install. I suppose you can transfer the apk files to the root or something but I'm not an expert. Or like you said, just re-download them if you can. :laugh:

137This is a port of CyanogenMod 9 (Android 4.0.x) for the Samsung Exhibit II 4G. It is very much a work-in-progress. There are no guarantees whatsoever that it will work to your requirements or that it will progress beyond its current state. Major kudos to Arco68 for his help in getting this going; you would not have this ROM except for him.

CM9 for the Galaxy Exhibit is NOT vulnerable to USSD dialer exploits.
Vanishing text
The content of text buffers sometimes disappear when touched (messages in: gmail,yahoo,fb). Wiping cache has fixed this for some. Long-press of back key and restarting app for others.
Facebook
Facebook sync is not included in AOSP. 3rd-party apps are available in the market.
3g vs 4g
Cyanogen Mod views UMTS as 3g whereas the stock Exhibit II rom views it as 4g. Even though you see 3g on your status bar, your actual speed should be unchanged from stock.
Changing band preference
In dialer, enter Service Mode via

[2] WCDMA Band Preference
[3] GSM Band Preference
To force WCDMA only, tap option 2, on next screen tap option 6 - WCDMA All
To force GSM only, tap option 3, on next screen tap option 7 - GSM All
You can use the back button to verify your settings took effect. To exit, tap menu button, quit. This change does not survive a reboot. If you use this frequently, save it as a contact.
WIFI Problems
Wifi is working fine for almost everyone using CyanogenMod 9 Galaxy Exhibit build (and also for the Galaxy W). If you are one of the very few having difficulties, a possible fix has been posted that may help: WiFix Manager.
Installation
Installation requires a CWM-based recovery. Download/update Galaxy Exhibit Custom CWM Recovery here.
Updating CyanogenMod 9
Once you have a stable install you're happy with you can apply future updates w/o any wiping. If for some reason a wipe is required, I'll make that known.

These instructions assume that you will be using an Ubuntu 10.10 Linux system (or a close relation, Debian, Linux Mint,etc). Setting up a Linux partition or creating a Linux VM are beyond the scope of this post.
First, Install the Android SDK
Next, install the linux build packages required. I install using apt-get:
For 32-bit & 64-bit systems

using git and github. Teaching this is beyond the scope
of this howto. Cherry-picks must be re-applied after each
repo sync.As time goes by they also get merged, so it may be that some
cherry-picks are no longer required. You can check their status here.
Attached to this post is a script (reposync.txt) that will do a repo
sync then apply current cherry-picks. I keep it in my
android/system directory. Rename and chmod 0755.
Set up your environment & build

CCACHE
If you have room on your build system you can speed
your builds up considerably by using ccache. ccache is a compiler
cache. It speeds up re-compilation of C/C++ code by caching
previous compiles and detecting when the same compile is
being done again.
Install it with apt-get: sudo apt-get ccache
Set environment vars for Android use:
(I put these exports in my .bashrc)

It's always hilarious when a newcomer shows up who absolutely knows it all, refuting everything we only think we know about our phones.
I think the idea of nightlies is great, I never had the resources. I've replaced the OPs download link with a link to Core2Idiot's nightly page.
On another note, I've decided to keep my Exhibit as a dev device, so I'm going to continue busting my head with 911 for a while at least. I'll post if I have any breakthroughs.
