for those of wondering if it actually is a virus or not, I've done a scan with virustotal and it's not a virus.
I've attached a pdf print of the webpage, printed after the scan.
This app shows real promise dev, keep up the good work and do some collaboration with some others here to make the UI beautiful.

When I try and download the Cyanogen SMS app it fails to download. Anyone else got this problem?

Where do you get all the ported apks ?
There are 2 ways to get those apks , first u take it from the rom itselve, second method is to google for it , or u search xda, most of the apps are somewhere in apps and games selection of the forum.
or you do it yourself
Man u didnt write those apps by yourselve… . u didnt write apollo and so on
Someone already volunteed to help with the design. Try and read through the post, you will see him.

Today, I want to present you PortedApp, Version 2.0. The app is totally new developed.
Why?
- Because the old version have a not so good design
- Lots of the apks from the old version don´t work with marshmallow
- The old verison wasn´t ok to upload to the PlayStore
- The old version have no note about the original developer or source from the app
- That every app that is listed worked without any problems on my S5 and Nexus 5 both with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) when I tested it out

I am extremely disappointed in some people here who out right brand this effort as a virus. It's a great disservice to this dev and this community. It is not the proper way to serve this community. If you want to properly do that state your case and provide evidentiary support thereof. You can bet a posse of XDAers and admins will ride up to the devs' yard for a show down (and we won't be waiting for high noon either.) Ain't no use making the town all dusty for no reason.
