Use this tutorial to flash the .elf kernels.
Stock Kernel + Root + Cwm + Init.d (No OC)
Rooting using TWRP
Stock Kernel + TWRP 2.4.3 (no oc)
Stock Kernel for JB firmware .111 + TWRP 2.5 (unstable)
This TWRP recovery is not stable. So advised to only use it for rooting the firmware. Once rooted flash the stock kernel. For CWM follow my post for installing CWM recovery.

Rooting using TWRP
After flashing the kernel with twrp, reboot the phone. When the pink led lights up, press vol up button till the pink changes to blue.
Now on the TWRP main screen, click Reboot and then click System. When clicked for the first time or if the phone is not rooted, it will ask to install superSu. Go ahead and install it.
The phone will reboot.
In the app drawer, click on superSu app and follow the instructions. At the end of it, your phone will be rooted.
