[Mod][CM7] Transparent Status Bar ( Now accepting requests )

Please help me budddy...

I had flashed ur patch.zip and my status bar lost. then I again flashed undo.zip. now the status bar force closes. what should I do? :confused: I am in real trouble man, please help me asap.

Lol which rom you using? And I told you to do a nandroid :p no worries.
Get your rom zip file, navigate to system /app and pull systemui.apk and replace it

first time i flashed this didn't work... got bored and had a re-try and it worked... looks nice i rather the fuller glass transparency compared to the smoked windows 7 style (i end up editing windows theme so its fully transparent all round lol)

all in all good mod cheers

I am on cm 7. yes I restored my nandroid and it is fine now. but why do u think that patch didnt work? and could u do me a favour? I am using ntsense-blue theme and I like its transparent status bar background very much, but I dont like black status bar. I like the white one in motoblur theme, can u please replace the black status bar in ntsense-blue with the motoblur one. I actually had managed to replace it, but the problem is that the ntsense theme shows clock in status bar in black color, so when I make the status bar white, the clock blends in the status bar. pleae help me buddy. I have attached both the themes. and please do let me know how to make it so from next time I wont have to bug you. and ALL THE BEST for your exams buddy :)

Cm7 alpha or the xboarder build? Other users have no problems at all :( and sure, but you will have to wait. Make do with the ready themes first if you want transparent. Head over to zdune's thread to make a patch yourself if it still doesn't work

im browsed thru the pages pretty good but did i miss a fix for this.... i installed patch thru cwm and installed theme after reboot.... (correct order right?) but the only transparency on the notification bar i see is when the screen is locked.... but when i swipe the unlock... it turns black again.

im on cm7 alpha1 trying to use the minimal magic theme

Thanks for the mod tho. the lockscreen looks BOSS! lol

Your launcher! If its adw uncheck wallpaper hack in settings. If its lpp, change to adw haha. It looks bad.

Okay. I flashed the patxh and installed the apk, twice. Nothing has changed. Can you explain exactly what I need to do. CM7 alpha 7 go launcher

    What this means :-
You get transparent statusbar with themes that have a transparent statusbar_background.png

What you need :-
CM7 Alpha 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10
Custom recovery menu


Launchers :-
Launcher Pro - Only works with Live Wallpaper, if normal wallpapers you'd have to Hide notification bar at Appearance Settings
Adw Launcher - Disable Wallpaper Hack
Go Launcher - don't work atm 
GB Launcher - No problems
Arc Launcher - No problems ( I use this. Looks better and feels better than all others. )

    This is how to make this patch work with other themes.

    1 : Pull theme APK from device ( titanium backup would work fine )
    2 : Unpack the APK
    3 : Make a semi transparent 480x38 png named statusbar_background2 and place it in /Res/Drawable-HDPI ( it does not have to replace the old statusbar background. ) It can have textures or just transparent. This part will replace your old statusbar background. (You can pull it off another transparent APK. Will not tell you which theme go search :p)
    3 : Go into /Res/XML and find com_android_systemui.xml and open with a text editor.
    4 : Find the lines
    @drawable/statusbar_background.9

    ( Change the item name to the png you've made )
    If it's not there just add the 2nd line with red words :p

    Then repack your apk and install and apply. Should work! if it does not, contact me.
