Decided to use 4G yesterday. I turned it off and just decided to reboot my phone. Everytime I turn on my phone now, it turns on. Or if I turn Airplane mode on and off, same thing. I wiped both caches, flashed a new kernel, etc. Nothing works. Any ideas?

Everything works: MMS, Camera, Video, Netflix. The only issue I am having is I cannot get the notification power widgets to pull down anymore. The setting is checked, it just doesnt show. Anyone have any ideas?

Uncheck the widgets and reboot. When the phone boots back up, put the check in the box to enable. Should work now. I just tried this and now i have them back.

For 4G issue, mattsm (in the PPCGeeks parent thread) suggested:

For those with 4G restarts on reboot. Try turning off 4G via menu settings instead of through notification or widget. See if that fixes your issue.

My question is...why are you rebooting so much? I never understood the concept of rebooting and boot animations, etc....my works just fine once I flash and let it do it's set-up. If it's a cache thing, there are free cache cleaners on the Market. Other than that, my phone stays on.

Just an advice for anyone flashing from another rom, wipe battery stats and fix permissions after flashing. My evo battery was getting a little warm and I was getting fcs with some apps, this took care of the problem.

In regards to the GPS icon still showing after turning it off, I'm thinking of doing a fresh install. I know there is calciums format all, what does it format? The factory reset, cache, and dalvik, or does it format More? Sorry for the noob question. By doing that would I have to do the GPS fix again or has that issue been resolved in these updates?

been running 1.2b for the last two days..i prolly will have to go back to Kingsrom. Battery is not working out too well for me on this rom. Dropping 36% in about an hour or so. The thing is i havent really load anything with this rom, just straight up download from Deck's. Have flashed both with ClockModRecovery and RaRecovery. Prolly will it another chance. Also another issue for me was Contacts, i used HTC sync. GB is not compatible with HTC sync. I have to use Google Contacts but when it migrates the contacts to this new rom, it migrated all emails and everyone on my FB accounts...i origninally have about 270 contacts, now i ended up with over 1500 contacts of junks...arghhhhhhhhhhh.

From what I've read, you have to have Sense to allow HTC Sync to work. In regards to your Facebook issue, when you sign into Facebook with the app, make sure you click the radio button that says "do not sync".

As far as battery, I am using Tiamat 4.0.2 and haven't any major drains as your experiencing. Perhaps it could be the Facebook sync workin' overtime.

    Hey all. Been a while since my last release of s3vo for the evo which was sense based, but I really wanted to start learning android and have a better perspective of it. I decided to dig a bit more into compiling android. Started horsing around with github and learned to start compiling my own builds from aosp wih the help from cmsrc, evervolv, and a few others githubs. Since the release of gingerbread to aosp, i moved away from sense. There are things that i do miss about sense, but the usability of the phone without it is just unmatched imho. Many people use or have used cyanogenmod. IMHO is a great open source project that has some of the best devs out there. I have always been more into the 'vanilla' look opposed to the themed and aftermarket. Recently i have been compiling gingerbread for the evo and mt4g and have had nothing but the best reviews. Basically the reason why i am here. Wondering if there was any interest in a few of my builds. Main reason from moving away from CM6/7 (cyanogenmod), ADW launcher and the extra added bloat and themes. Currently as i look at my phone, my battery stats have me at 31 hours and counting with 15% left. So battery life as you can tell was one of my main concerns. Everything works!!!

    There is *nothing* that doesnt work anymore on 1.0. If an app that you are used to using from a 2.2/sense rom doesnt work, chances are that app hasnt been recompiled for gingerbread. Please bug the app author and not me :D

    New GPS drivers! A real GPS Fix!! :)

    NEW BETTER DRIVERS HERE. FOR BEST RESULTS FLASH THE "Qualcomm Vision GPS Driver v1.1" INSTEAD. THIS POST HAS BEEN LEFT HERE FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES

    ------------------------------------
    I've been playing around a bit with the GPS drivers... Anyone willing to try these drivers instead and report back if they work any better, especially if you are having GPS issues (locking, losing signal, etc)? They seem to be working very well for me, with no high cpu issues as well.

    What should be different from the standard drivers:
    * No need for workarounds for the majority of people (sense flash, etc...)
    * Stable and fast locks
    * Pick up more satellites
    * No wake locks / CPU usage issues

    These are files that you can flash through recovery:

    GPS_Supersonic_FIX_Flash - these are the fixed drivers, flash them through recovery (RA recovery only)
    GPS_Supersonic_Restore_Flash - these are the original drivers that come with CyanogenMod roms in case you want to revert back (RA recovery only)

    If you don't use RA recovery, flash the GPS_Supersonic_FIX_Flash2 file instead (compatible will all recoveries, uses an edify script)

    NOTE: Drivers are now part of Deck's 1.2 stable, but NOT 1.2.1. For 1.2.1 and all the other roms (like CM7 nightlies) the fix will need to be re-flashed every time the rom is updated.

    NOTE 2: No, there is no source code. This is a modified driver from the gingerbread leak for the HTC Vision.
