I have to make goldcard with my mSD but still undetect with my HD7 t-mobile
Any clue about this? Is that the usb host mode showing the phone want to connect to the pc on the phone screen right?

The card reader and power supply end should already be plugged into the Y cable and ready.
The device should read - Entering USB host mode....
Then connect the device to the Y cable.

When I do "Patch MMC"
Try re-downloading the goldcard image.
Run the goldcard tool, select the new goldcard image and select to Patch MMC.
Can you show me the screenshot for entering usb host mode,
Press 3 button (power+volume down+camera) but still no luck with it,
Press when phone still on condition or off condition?
I tried that way, it didn't work. I'm in the process of getting my supplies in the mail to finally flash my damn phone.
I have a question though; Once I downgrade the bootloader, is there a plus/minus on what bootloader I get? If i get the 1.18, which I'm downloading now, will I be missing anything that say a 3.xx bootloader will have?

hi,
i have a half bricked, not registered/unlocked 7 pro phone. and i cant open usb host mode because my cam button not working.
so i cant install any xap, or unlock.
how can i do without usb host mode?
i think when i use wp can sender, its opening a black screen ,a image of phone and pc after restart, ican it use for usb host mode?
or i replace the microsd card from my phone inside sdcard, can i use start it?
please help.

After spending nights and wasting few usb cables and even destroying a sd card reader and flash drive, finally I was able to downgrade my SPL. :victory:
Few points from my experience in case useful to someone else.
- Making y cable at home is much easier then it might sound. Once you have own made cable atleast you know which cable to connect to power outlet and which to phone and memory. Saves you from another combination complexity. However make sure wires are connected well and also insulated from other colors.
- Shorter cable between your card reader end and mobile phone end makes difference
- File name has to be ALL caps. Even the extension bit. It didn't work for me when extension was ".nbh", phone showed "No Image". But tried to load image when I changed extension to ".NBH"
- Flash memory does work. In my case it worked once I changed allocated memory to the suggested 1GB. For some reason for me SD card reader never tried to load image to phone, phone always stuck at entering usb mode. Flash memory, even when not partitioned to 1G, was always showing loading (when all other things were in place).

- Format the MicroSD Card to fat32
- Copy the .nbh Image to the MicroSD Card
- Launch Goldcard Tool
- While ignoring the cid box, choose "Load GoldCard.img" and select the goldcard.img you just downloaded
- Press "Patch MMC" and wait for confirmation
- Unplug the MicroSD Card
- Connect the Y-Cable and the USB-gender-changer like shown in the picture
- Connect the MicroSD-Card
- Connect your phone
- Connect the y-cable to an ordinary usb port
- Hold Power+Camera+VolumeDown until the USB Host Mode appears
- Wait about 30 min until the update completes. The phone may reboot a couple of times.
- After the update completed, unplug your phone and reboot

Now my HTC mozart manage to turn on using 16GB Sandisk class4 micro sd card.
And your goldcard image is working fine, and update is running after testing some different card reader ( all in one card reader with CF card slow is not working, so finally result is card reader without CF card slow works.)
Y cable is easy to build and had spend sometime to replace the micro sd card.
Just follow your details step and everything working fine.

What to do if my buttons not working!
Hz Im have HD7, but my buttons seems not working... my phone turn on to HTC SPLASH screen and stuck there, but im can turn it only to flash screen if its on charger or usb... its just wont get to bootloader or usb mod...
this happend when i update phone with zune...
What to do? Im have no warranty, no money for fix in service! ONLY YOU GUYS

The reader is the important thing to power. The phone will power itself off battery. It can't supply power out its USB port though, so that needs to come from the outlet.
Many Y cables will have a thicker and a thinner arm of the Y. The thinner one has no data wires, just power (plug it into the wall). The thicker one should probably be going to the phone. That said, there's only 6 ways to connect the devices to the cable. It's quite reasonable to try all of them.3
There are few ones. I credited them in the OP.
The point why I wrote this guide is, that the previous guides often included unnecessary steps, they were sometimes inconsistent between each other, not very detailed, you needed to build yourself custom wires, and manually find the necessary files yourself.
So I wrote an easy, minimal, noob-friendly guide.
