Hello mates,
Presenting the way to have the Latest Photo Editor (S5) on 4.4.2
KK Rom.
here are the steps:
First through any root file browser go to /data/app
Rename the com.sec.android.mimage.photoretouching.apk to com.sec.android.mimage.photoretouching.apk.bak
(This was your existing common photo editor)
Now flash this
https://www.dropbox.com/s/eaw291fmttm2mjl/pHoToEdItOrS5.zip
Reboot.
Now from gallery if you open an image and want to edit, you will find the new photo editor with lots of options.

This is tasted on DN3 RC2(NOT FOR DN3V5) but should work on other 4.4.2 roms also.
Again WHOLE CREDIT GOES TO THE GREAT E-team for giving us the S5 mod and apps.

Cheers.
Special thanks to @Logel

Thank you so freaking much, dude!! You cannot imagine how much time I have spent trying to set this connection between these two apps back on... You not only helped, but also provided a better editor app!!! My issue popped up right when aptoide updated my photo editor and turned it into a crappy app.. Thanks again!

Looks great, unfortunately not working for me.

Force Closes on 4.4.2 official rom (w/ root).

I am quite impressed with the look of the app, would be great to see it working.

If you dare to have it, you can try this way, put this file
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wuxytj2ycaacjsa/libXIVGallery2014.so
to /system/lib, change permission to rw-r--r-- and rename your existing secgalleryapk to secgalleryapk.bak then put this file at that folder
https://www.dropbox.com/s/begags8g5c9fxhv/SecGallery.apk
Change permission same as above, now boot into recovery and flash the zip.
I'm not sure but this may work. If it doesn't, you can delete the new gallery and rename/remove bak of the old gallery to get it back.
Regards.

I tried this, thanks. Unfortunately gallery force closes upon booting up the phone, and when running it. The photo editor still does the same.

It was worth a shot, thanks for the suggestion anyhow.

Are there any changes regarding non working functions in dr.ketan rom? in other words, do I need to reflash it?

feedback. Android 4.3.

Hi nitol. I wanna report you, that s5 editor is working on android 4.3. I decided to get back to android 4.3 and installed it.

How?
copying content from libs folder to libs folder,
copying content from priv-app folder to app folder

Many users here are wrong, they think that s5 apps or mods only are working on kitkat (4.4.2) but nope my friend there are quite apps working on 4.3.
Btw s5 accuweather is working too on android 4.3, as sBaro, sVoice, s5 samsung apps, group play, and many others...

edit: I'm using note 3 gallery. I'm about to try other apps, to confirm what's working on android 4.3 if someone wants it...

Here is the update mates, for ported android 4.4.4 users
First rename the 'photoretouching apk' as '.....apk.bak' in /data/app and rename the Gallery apk as same in /system/priv-app.
Now flash the zip, check, if everything is okay you can delete those renamed apks.

I got a fc as well while cropping

to crop an image, don't select it from edit option, open the pic, then from gallery menu, select crop. for all other edit, the editor is fine. The default gallery crop option is creating conflict with the photo editor crop.
    regards.

@nitol nice work, keep it up.

Hello @nitol! First of all thankyou for this but I don't have that com.sec.mimiage bla bla in data/app but in my system/priv-app i have that sstudio.apk, should i just directly push that apk to data/app, change permission, reboot and it's done?

Then you don't have the common photo editor, no problem, push the file (1st link) to data/app, change permission and reboot, then check.
    Regards.
