[I9003][MOD]Custom Boot Animation[XXKP9 + XXKPE]

Hey guys after installing CWM, I lost my original boot animation so I installed the galaxy S one from this thread but my glowing samsung logo is gone! How do I get that back? After the galaxy s animation plays it stays blank till it boots to home screen... I'm on XXKPH.

i have question about your png file on post 2 and 1
when sanim.zip file mve to /system/media it work fine. but when i have only save png file my computer like dsfjdskf.gif and move it to /system/media and rename it to sanim.zip nothing change on boot screen

I Have Attached The Custom Booting.zip File
Which Contain 2 files

1) bootanimation
2) samsungani

NOTE : Files Should Be Executable
ie. Permission should be rwxr_xr_x (r=read, w=write, x= executable)

These Two Files Have to be copied to /system/bin With Root Explorer Or Any Thing Like That

The Next File I am Attaching Is sanim.zip

sanim.zip file must be copied To /system/media

The sanim contains the PNG files Which Can be edited As your will

Important Note::

The Size Of The PNG files(Resolution) Must be specified in the desc.txt

480 800 10
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1

Here 480 800 is the resolution of the files used here

I am attaching The Animated Image Of The Boot Screen In A low resolution

Edit : No Boot Animation Software Will Work.You Have To Manually Copy The sanim.zip file to location

its not working with me..plzzz...

when i try to execute the files (samsungani & bootanimation)..the root explorer force close..

how to solve this?

my step..
1-i paste the custom booting.zip file at /system/bin....without extracting it..
2-i paste sanim.zip file at /system/media..
3-delete the ODEAnim.zip...
4-restart phone...result....blank screen with standard background sound..

If you are on xxkph then use cf root it has custom boot

i'm on xxkpe.. how?

after some try n error..manage to change boot animation..but not the matrix animation...only 'android' letter..my step..

1-follow step 1..n extract...replace samsungani and bootanimation in /system/bin folder..Permission for both rwxr_xr_x...
2-copy sanim.zip (matrix animation) file at /system/media...Permission rwxr_xr_x...
3-reboot...result..'android' animation..
4-remove sanim.zip file (matrix animation)..n reboot....same result as on step 3 above...

so how to change 'android' animation to 'matrix'?

*newbie here...sorry for the trouble.. really appreciate sumbody can put exact step to do this..(not to say the first post isn't gud..only me is the problem here).. thanks in advance..

hey how do i get the custom boot play to its full length ???? cause as soon as the boot sound is over it closes ..... do i need to remove that sound file from the root ??? if yes which one ??? or any other way ?€???

Does this work for i9000?

Anyone know if this works on an i9000? I have the same system files in system/bin so assume these replacements just point to the new file instead of bootsamsung.qmg.

I am aware of that but wish to stay stock, in which case this promises to be an easy way to circumvent the stock boot animation.

I note the OP requested these files from an i9000 so it seems a reasonable question.

Anyone tried this on an i9000? Further investigation reveals that the native samsungani file is an 11k binary whereas this is a 1k ASCII file.

the original samsungani is replaced with a code to work bootanimation
you can edit samsungani file to change the duration of the animation shown

So, are you saying it would work on an i9000? My concern is what functionality is lost from the binary file.

That i dont know
But our boot animation is sanim.zip not bootanimation.zip

That's just a rename thing though, right? My boot animation is a qmg file. I guess I've got nothing to lose by trying. If I back up the originals I can always restore them if it doesn't work.
