Wood......as in tree wood? Cuz I'm pretty sure wood phone cases don't exist.unless you make it yourself.unless ya mean a case that just looks like wood

Haha If there was a case made from wood that would be awesome. However a case that looks like wood would be fine too.

Wood is typically considered desirable because anything that needs to be fashioned for a particular design usually requires it to be hand-crafted, as opposed to off an assembly line.
To answer your question, no, I've not seen any SGII wooden cases. I know a few existed for the iphone and ipad.

I would say business opportunity, but not sure how well they would work, either they would have to be pretty thick, or reinforced with some metal or something. Guess you could make some steampunk/fantasy type thing...

Wood has a classy look. I also look like a lumberjack so that helps haha.

yes..there are a few wooden cases
There are a few manufacturers making cellphone case's from wood (not the plastic ones with wooden skins on them). Most of them are for apple products. I have found a few for samsung epic 4g touch also. A few are real wood some are wood look alikes.
I haven't tried / tested them, so i am not vouching for anyone. If anyone has used wooden cases please quote your experience.

Actually I saw a bamboo case for my sgs2. I also like the feel of wood in my hand LOL

I went ahead an bought one. It'll do untill someone makes a nice real wood version.

3Genuine Wood Cases for Samsung Galaxy SII
My company is currently negotiating the purchase of real wood cases for the Samsung Galaxy SII (and possibly for the SIII, too). These cases are handmade, genuine wood and completely surround the phone (not the open top and bottom style, as with many of the plastic, wood-effect cases you see advertised).
The cases will, initially, be available in either beige (light) or brown (dark) finishes, in very limited numbers. If there's enough demand, I'll look into the expansion of supply. OK, apologies for the delay but I now have a small quantity of the wooden cases available. They are finished in either Maple or Dark Walnut and I am offering them here on the xdadevelopers site first, at £19 per case, including shipping to Germany or the UK. Shipping is possible to other locations, at cost (signed-for).
I have been using a Maple one for a week, whilst I've been on the road and have been very pleased with it so far. For those who would like to try them, I'd be interested to hear some feedback since, depending on the interest, it may be possible to obtain more stock and also similar cases for the new Galaxy SIII.
