Mira - Smart Personal Assistant for iOS and Android

Unfortunately we don't see any reason to continue this project since Google Voice Search does a nice job. Furthermore there are many Siri clones in the Google Play Store, which do a better Job than Mira did.
Thank you for your support and interest. You kept this project alive a long time!

I got 2.2.1.....will it not work with 2.2..... I have to wait 10mins before I redownload. Ill try it againg. PS. Unknown sorces box is checked.

So what would you say this app brings to the table for the handful of digital assistants that have cropped up for Android? What are its limitations? I've played with Skyvi a few times, and it seems quite good for certain commands and interfacing with certain services (i.e. "Find information on this..."), but not so much on others (i.e. when I asked "What's the weather like in Washington D.C. it tried to find clubs in DC with the name "Weather" in it).

Sara has a algorithm, which would split your question into: { weather | what | be | in Washington D.C. }
With this information it won't search for a location in Washington D.C. but for the weather in Washington D.C.
We'll include a weather and a location service soon.

With this download "parsing package errors" won't be a problem anymore ;)

Version 1.1 is released!!!

- Preferences Menu
- Update Function under Preferences Menu
- No crashes
- Learns your name (for example with "I am David")
- Can ask you for a confirmation (for example with "I am David" -> "?" -> "Yes / No")
- Better algorithm
- No need to restart after first installation

Release 1.1.1 is out, too !
You can download it with the known download-link or the update function introduced with 1.1

In the next release you are able to get your location and the weather information of your location or other locations.
Also you are able to access the download counter of Sara with a question !
This two functions are already programmed ;)
More API's will follow.

Does anyone has an idea for more sentences or more API's ?

The v. 1.2 with Weather and Location API is coming soon, maybe today!

Update to 1.2:

Changelog:
- First functionality of weather feature.
- - At the time only "What's the weather like?" works...

You can get the update via the download link or the update function of Sara

Nice work! it recognizes my words pretty easily :)
But app crashes after every 3-4 speaks

I tried Google facebook and it said can't understand
then I said just Google and it crashed :D

also Tried one common bad word and it crashed 3 times :D
then I turned off filter on options and offended SARA :D and she told me off back :D

    Thanks for the posts, suggestions and bug reports ;)

    Maybe releasing 1.5.5 today....

    Announcing:
    - Call function with contact and phone number support (DONE)
    - Switching time mode (DONE)
    - Switch temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit (DONE)
    - Better App Search ("open facebook / etc.") (DONE)
    - Sending and dictating SMS (IN PROGRESS)

    Not in 1.5.5 but soon:
    - Calendar Support
    - Weather / Temperature Fix (Going to use Google Weather instead of Yahoo Weather)
    - Removing the start screen

    Tips:
    If you don't want database updates everytime you start Mira use the Offline Mode functionality! A database version check will come soon too.

    A few minutes ago I finished programming the Places API!
    Maybe we can already release Mira 2.0 the 16. March into the market!
    It going to have a support for the new fast server, many bug fixes, many speed ups and improvements, new credits entry for Jonas ;) , the Places API, an invisible Google Voice Search query and support for more sentences.

    Cool Cool ^^ It could be that the word "Google" was recognized as something else, which causes Sara to crash, but I think I corrected that bug ^^

    RELEASE 1.2.1 ALPHA
    Now Sara is in the Alpha State. I think I corrected every Crash with a "try {}" snippet.
    New features are the "kamikaze" function (just for lulz)
    At the time Sara closes herself if you say: "Kill yourself" or "Destroy yourself". Because Sara has an intelligent algorithm you could also say: "Kill yourself *****!" xD

    Further weather forecast. You can just ask for the weather f.e. with "How is the weather". You can also ask for the weather for tomorrow or for a specific town / location.

    You can ask for the download stats of sara.

    Going to improve the weather function and improve the database entrys which works with it.

    You can ask for your location
