Just created a new launcher icon ... Instead the old..

For Kit Kat you have to install XIFI as a system app. As for Lollipop the FX instructions also applies to XHIFI.

Viper4android keeps restarting.....

Check your /system/lib/soundfx. If you don't see the lib file for XHiFi (the driver), open the XHiFi apk and look in its assets folder for the correct lib file for your processor/android version (I use the Neon jb version on my device). Copy and paste to /system/lib/soundfx, be sure to delete the jb or ics following the so at the end of the file name and reboot. Re-install driver from XHiFi. Double check /system/etc/audio_effects conf and see if the entries for XHiFi are present. If not, you will have to make the entry yourself. I am using both V4A and XHiFi installed in /system on CM11 ROM with no problems. I hope this helps you. The same can be used for troubleshooting driver install problem with V4A.

No I mean a kernel for your phone I don't know what the OEM is I have a sprint galaxy s4 and a sprint galaxy note edge devs have worked on the s4 but not so much the edge

Also, this will work for me, even though I am NOT running a Custom ROM? Because I am running the Samsung Stock KitKat 4.4.4 ROM (Rooted).

I don't mean to be a pain. I just would like to be sure that you know my setup before I run anything that makes changes in something that goes down to the core of the OS, you know?
