what if I want to create a shortcut that will refer me to a desired home page???

for example: I use Opera Mobile installed on /program files/Opera/
and when I execute the shortcut, it will open abc.com page on Opera Browser...

any suggestion???

no that's not what I mean,,, well, I'm sorry for my bad english so that you didn't understand my post perfectly...

so what I meant is: say, I want to create a shortcut named "my yahoo inbox email.lnk" and every time I tap that shortcut, it would bring me directly to my yahoo mail inbox (which I've bookmarked first, ofcourse).

waiting for the answer....

I see Settings>System>Remove Programs = 21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,10
what does it mean ? can i use resco explorer ?

It means you create a RemovePrograms.lnk file with the text Settings>System>Remove Programs = 21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,10
using any text editor. Place the shortcut in Start>Programs or wherever you like or use this link in any launcher like CtLaunch, Byka's cube, SPB pocketPlus...

just create a new file on your desktop computer with an editor, enter this line:
23#"ctlpnl" cplmain.cpl,10
and save as YourShortcutName.lnk, then copy to your phone and you're done

if it is too hard for you - use Shortcut Creator

or another solution is using QuickMenu, see post #20.
With QuickMenu you've got a GUI-Interface to create this shortcut
Execute: ctlpnl // Parameter: cplmain.cpl,10
Click "Create Shortcut" and the tool asks you where to save your new shortcut. done. :)

in front of your monitor
add icon to .lnk

And the icons? How do we put an icon? We simply associate an icon to it?

as far as i can see - it adds the icon into the lnk file just after the program with parameters (path to icondll, iconnumber):
46#"ctlpnl" cplmain.cpl,10?\Windows\icon.dll,0

An easy (GUI) way is using Shortcut Creator (see also post #20) (it's also easy to create an shortcut to an app including parameter - see attached screenshot...
BTW: i just used the first dll that came along in screenshot, it's just for example! (afaik there is no icon included)

felt composed to reply because of the frustration i had looking for camera parameters:

camera - photo mode
\windows\camera.exe -i

-i =photo mode
-v =video mode
-p =contact photo mode
-m =mms video mode

how do u find these? are they in the registry somewhere?

and would anyone happen to know if 'pictures & videos' can be pointed to display vids first (as opposed to 'my pictures')

@petervbeck
1. Can I assign a simple xyz.ico to the shortcut?
2. how to make icon.dll? Can you suggest any tools for that?

Anyone know the param for opening a specific email account?

The default it's set to is: Windows\tmail.exe "ActiveSync"

But can't figure what to put, to make it go directly to my gmail account.

Thanks in advance
