All of my past phones had removable batteries so when I would try something on my phone, if it didn't work and the phone wouldn't boot, I had the ability to pull the battery to shut it off and undo what I tried. I just realized I don't have that ability anymore, but I imagine there has to be a way to force a shut off of the phone if needed. Since I haven't run across this potential problem yet (since I haven't done much messing around so far) I'm assuming I can just hold down the power button to force a shut off if this ever becomes an issue.
